First Grow - Blueberry

Hi Everybody

I'm going to do my first grow and I fancy doing some Blueberry as that's what I have been told is the stuff I smoke.

I have my cash at the ready to realise my dream and build my first grow room and I really fancy going hydro (ebb & flow) with continuous CO2 straight away.

(I have actually thought about doing a vertical grow but thought I'd better get a few normal grows first.)

I will also be doing a diary which I will post here as I like this forum and want to support peeps here as and when I can.

So, first things first... if it is allowed here, can anybody recommend a supplier for blueberry seeds, please?

What would an acceptable germination rate be, assuming I use a propagator etc and I am reasonably better than average for getting seeds and cuttings to take root? I know there are many personal factors involved, but everything being equal if half of my seeds failed would I be justified in looking elsewhere for my seeds?

Once I get a mother plant vegging and I start taking clones off it, how long should I keep that mother plant before putting it to the great allotment in the sky?

Both my partner and I are disabled and use the smoke to alleviate our symptoms; I wonder if anyone has grown on a harvest every 3 or 4 week cycle? If so, would you be so kind as to tell me your numbers of mothers/clones/vegging plants please?

wow alotta questions, ok if u want good blueberry seeds, go 2 attitude seed bank, they're fast, discreetand they use the best genetics.

second make sure the seeds u order r dutch passion blueberry, this is the real blueberry and will ensure great genetics

third most seeds should germinate within 5 days

4th i've never used a propagetor so i can't tell u but make sure u read the instuctions

5th if half ur seeds don't germinate u got some old stale or just plain fucked up seeds

6th it seems ur doing a SOG grow that's fine but u r going to need to different rooms in that case a veg room and a flower room a HPS bulb is best 4 the flower room and a MH bulb is the best 4 the veg room. also don't start taking clones UNTIL ur mother plant reaches week 4, this will ensure she is strong and has multiple branches.

7th after u have taken more than 30 clones from a plant, u may want to put some of ur clones in the veg room to take it's place

8th to get a harvest every 3 or 4 weeks, u must take clones every 3 or 4 weeks, after ur first harvest, if all goes well, ure plants u will harvest a plant then put a new one in it's place

if this is ur first grow i would be really careful with hydro there is a much smaller room 4 error in hydro systems than in soil

also r u sure u don't wanna try this on a bagseed first? seeds r expensive and there is nothing worse than seing ur investment die

Gonna roll with 3 rooms, a couple of 400W (HPS, MHS), some bluberry, and see what happens. I'll have some flicks up here in a few weeks. This shit better work; the drought on the street is killing me.

i really want some of that blueberry seeds. but i just cant bring myself to pay 200 bucks for seeds... not yet. i need some experience first. but that will definately be my number one grow. i wanna get that and ww. ughh.... i cant wait to get my whole thing down and in sync already

i could have sworn it was mh for veg and hps for flower. can someone clear this up please?

sorry i had wrote so much i forgot 2 once over the text

it is the other way around

a HPS is best for flowing, a MH is best 4 vegging, i'll go edit the post

I cannot thank ou enough - that's gonna get me to a great start and I'll be sure to post pics.

I'm grateful for your comments on bagseed grow being more forgiving so I'm going to re-read this a few times and re-consider - I do like to walk before I run!
