First Grow DWC, Happy to get feedback

Hey!
Im doing my first grow DWC.

Strain is SFV OG, started as a clone on December 15th

Heres my equipment
* Lighthouse 4x2x6ft tent
* Bloomspec 300w led ( gets about 700 par from some reviews Ive seen )
* 2 Fans
* Airpump with 2 airstones

Nutrients I'm using is Masterblend dry fertilizer ppm'd to 750. Ive used this stuff before to grow tomatoes and cucumbers and had a lot of luck. And its super cheap 25lbs of dry fertilizer for 55$ on ebay shipped.

Water gets PH'd to 5.6 and drifts up to 5.8 over a few days.

Week 1, December 15th

Week 2
On week 2 I was still using a Mars Hydro 300w and general hydroponics, later I changed to the bloomspec and the masterblend nutrients. Also this is before my grow tent

Week 5, switched to the bloomspec light,
Here is the Mar Hydro vs the Bloomspect, I like the spectrum a lot more on the bloomspect

Hi
Day 36
Thinking about flipping her to flower next week. Is this about the right time to flower? Also was considering getting a timber light instead of my bloomspect but havent pulled the trigger. Also did a water change and put in more masterblend, my water base ppm is 250 and i added 750ppm of nutrients.

Anyways pics!

Since this is my first grow any feedback would be very welcome!

She looks quite healthy. Check what your lights pulling from the wall energy wise. I would have expected a bit faster growth from 300watts. The nutrients are keeping her green. What's the ratios of your feed? You may have to change it during bloom.

Post a picture of your root ball when you get chance.

Thanks Bruce!
Indeed the light is called a bloomspect 300w LED but only pulls 135w LED at the wall, so definitely less power than a 300w COB Led or something similar.
I was definitely thinking of getting a 200-300 watt cob for this grow but I might stick it out and see what I can get out of this 70$ cheapo led.
The cobs would set me back between 300-450$, maybe I can splurge on my next grow if all goes well.

I think another issue is that the temperatures have been regularly dropping into colder values. Temps have been between 62-72

For the nutrients I'm using the masterblend tomato fertilizer. Its stuff I picked up for cheap on ebay and use regularly for my hydroponic vegetable garden ( cucumbers, tomatoes, bok choy, kale, broccoli, etc )

Currently I'm using a ratio of 1 part master blend, 1 part calcium nitrate and 0.5 parts epsom salts to 750ppm
So I believe the NPK comes out to 19.5 - 18 - 38
At this stage the plant consumes almost 1 gallon of water per day. I think she will rapidly outgrow my space, so I'll start flowering in a couple days.

For flower I was going to reduce the amount of N, so 1 part masterblend. 0.5 parts calcium nitrate and 0.5 epsom salts, for a ratio of about 12 - 18 - 38, thoughts?

Today is day 37 of Veg so here are some more pics and the root ball!

Day 41

Last day of veg, after today I plan on initialing flower with a 36 hour period of darkness ( the long night )
Realistically veg lasted a bit way longer than I wanted but I was delayed because I didnt have time to take clones which I really wanted to do.
Also I purchased a 2nd bloomspect 300w led for flower, I was able to get this one for 55$ by contracting the seller on amazon and letting them know it was a rebuy!

Tent temperature has been very low due it being winter, ranges between 63-68, but I think with the 2nd light in there, it will improve the temperature.

I think I'll stick to these leds and nutrients, that way people can know what to expect from 2 60$ leds and very cheap nutrients under dwc.

Oh also at this point I had to buy a carbon filter to control the wonderful smell

Looks like you're nailing it...great job! I hope your light source will penetrate the canopy. It is a wonderful smell isn't it!

January 27th 1st day of flower, she really starts reaching at the end of the night! I ended up skipping the 36 hours of darkness thing and just swithed to 12/12

Also im trying to spread her out a bit so there's more light through the canopy :leaf:
Let the fun begin :bigjoint:

Thanks Tito!
Bah tragedy today, I was rushing a water change and ingured her...the main stem is cracked down the middle and I also broke a branch :wall:
In the future im definitely going to use a separate reservoir so I dont need to move her for water changes and I will use a lighter trelace...

I was going to say tape it looks like you already did that he might lose that Branch but the rest of the plant should be okay believe me you're not the first one to do that I done it plenty of times don't work on your plants while you're highbongsmilie:eyesmoke:
