Still getting temp spikes in the 90s(most likely right before the fan kicks on). I put the inline fan timer back to 15min on/15min off. And I'll check again tonight.
I just checked under my pots and there are roots coming out the bottom :o! I was hoping to do some training in the pots that they're in. They're so small and the leaves aren't even to the edge of the pot? Does anything think I should wait a bit longer or should I transplant this weekend? They're be going into 5gal pots. There are only maybe 5 root tips poking through. Thick white ones !!! What's the verdict? I have to top and train this coming week most likely

Sounds good thanks my dudes! I might set Monday as the day to top and tie down. Very excited. Calculated my available grow height with lights and final pot size. I have 25in from soil to lights max. So "hybrid" strain I'm giving them the flip at 10-12" high. They'll be all tied down so should be cool. Even though I'm mainlining I plan and going really wide with the colas to keep them short...

Temps at 77/67. Going to stick with that for now. Ladies just chillin' did some LST work on the fan leaves to keep me occupied ha. Get those lower branches some light

I call that leaf weaving..I'm always messing with my plants, moving leaves around... Seems to stimulate them...
Nice ha never heard that term. I watched a thing about how this is the most basic of LST. Tucking fan leaves to increase light penetration. If they fix themselves it just means they are strong and to ru-tuck. Leaf weaving is a badass term, I think I'm using that from now on

Update
Day 16 from sprout.
They aren't gaining much height, very slowly. But the plant is just intensely strong. The root system has to be way beyond its young days?! The stem is sooo this for the size of the plant. Soil should be just about dry tomorrow. I'll give them another feeding (going to skip the water only session, screw it lol). And them top and train them on Wednesday. It's going to be so tough to strip all that grow off of them as the under stuff is exploding lol. It makes me question mainlining them!

Based on the photos does anyone thing I can't top the big guy all the way down to the first node haha?!? The plant seems and feels like it can't take it. I could be wrong but that first set of undergrowth shoots are long and boss looking. They seem like they could be my new main stems? Just a thought. Here's a couple upskirts. First two are the larger, last is the smaller

I never let the lower nodes grow.. I pinch or cut them off when they first start.. I would remove them then leave the next two nodes, then top it leaving four tops in an x pattern... then you wait for regrowth before training... those little tops break easily until they get a little bigger.. keep tape handy while doing Lst...

Day 18
Soil is completely dry. Leaves look thirsty. Topping day and feeding day!
Topped both down to the third true node.
Removed all growth below, left fan leaves for energy and to help em out. I'll clip em when I bend the two new main shoots down (maybe a week?)
After topping and then feeding the leaves perked right up and looked great. Big ine looks ready to go, little one is a bit young and maybe should have waited but she'll be fine! I was going to leave the other fan leaves on for added energy but I figured screw it I'll see what happens. They seem strong I have faith

So what do we think here. First sign of an issue. Plants feel very sturdy, and leaves feel strong. White roots still accumulating near bottom holes of the pots.
Little guy shows no now growth since topping but no issues either (still recovering)
Big guy has what looks to be light burn/heat stress maybe. Could be nute burn as well. But the leaf that has the burnt serrated edges was very close to a cfl. I hadn't realized. Maybe an inch or two. All other leaves have no yellowing. Opinions?

I was under the impression that if it was nute burn the very tip would yellow first...

They always slow a bit after topping, new nodes look great.. I think you're right about light burn not nute.. They will explode in a week or so.. then training begins...

My broccoli plants broke ground and love it, you can almost see them grow.. Looks to me like it's time to top again...
That's gonna be a short one.. Looks Damn fine.. How many colas are you shooting for?

Oh word ha nice! I picked up two broccoli plants (maybe 4in high) from lowes. Transplanted them and tossed em in there. They're helping with humidity and if there is suspicion of growing I'll pull the bud and leave the broccoli in there.
They BOTH are short. Waiting for them to start growing vertically haha?!? Hopefully some crazy roots down there? Going for 8 colas on each. Just plucked the growth at the first node, I'm going to let them go three nodes and top the fourth. Just because they seem so small. Strong but small, only took them 8 hours to completely flip vertically again after training. I was impressed.

I'm just very curious to why they're so short? I was waiting for a lot of vertical growth due to them being 75% sativa... the plan is to only let them get to 10in tall before flipping to 12/12 just in case there's a major stretch. I have 25in of grow height to work with

I use a small pair of scissors and 4x glasses to do my topping... I don't let the plants waste energy growing material then cut it off.. The bigger they get the faster they grow.. You will be surprised.. The 5600k is why they are short.. Do you plan on changing bulbs for flowering?.. 2700k - 3500k would be a better spectrum.. They will stretch if you move the light up a couple inches..

Yeah I have 4 42watt bulbs (2700k) that I'll add in. Maybe more when I switch to flower. Should I add a couple in now? Or stick with just 5600k for veg?
