I'm 66,, got married right out of high school.. We are allot alike.. When it comes to hobbies
I can get totally obsessed.. Wether it's fishing poles, golf clubs or grow lights I always go the DIY route and spend way more than I should... We only get one go around in this life and if you can't do what you want... What's the use? Just got my new Med Card.. good to grow another year.. yeah!!

Root ball looks great.. Shouldn't be any shock.. They're going to really bush up in the next two weeks..
Nice healthy grow.. I have one plant showing pistils after 5 days of 12/12.. going to be a fast one...

Ok I tied them down like crazy and pulled the 4 main tops apart too hard I guess. They split a bit in two diff spots. I loosened them up a bit but the split is still open (slightly). The branch isn't falling by any means and is still resisting the wire. I'm assuming they'll heal up fine just the way they are ?

Looking super good bro! She'll heal up just fine! I started a new plant almost 2 weeks ago. Gonna train the new one just like yours. Ima max out its potential. Just one plant this time instead of 3 lol. I supercropped the one i had. It got up to 36" by day 60 of sprout/ day 21 of flower. But im just letting them grow and defoliate as they grow

The split should heal on its own.. I split an outdoor plant one time had to use a hose clamp to hold it together..
Big gnarly stem all callused over.. I broke a top earlier in this grow... Didn't do the best job of taping it, now it's the
shortest one.. Still learning...

Thank my man. Nice! It's fun but got real hard constantly seeing the plant with no foliage hahaha. Next time I'm going to try topping once + LST vs. Mainlining. Side by side. Prolly won't get to do it till I get a house tho. This is the only grow for me as it's just too risky in an apartment. Your lady is looking amazing. I've been trying to follow on your thread!

No problem bro. Gotta give credit when it's deserved! Thanks for following fr! Definitely be Other times to try out different techniques that suit you best. I plan on growing from now on that i invested money into it again. And that hopefully growing becomes legal in my state within the next year. Im a hobbyist and when it comes to growing i love it

Day 35

Plants seem unfazed by the transplant process. Because temps and humidity have been so great I've switched back to 24/0 light. Time to try and makeup lost time, if that's even possible :hump:
I removed two of the inner top fan leaves on the right plant (mains closest to the camera) just to try and give better penetration to the growth. I'm challenging this two mains vs the mains on the other side of the plant. Little tiny experiment lol
The tiniest bit of the tips on some newer growth seems burnt. Most likely from the ffof/Vermiblend soil mix. They'll grow into it. I'll only be watering with a small cal/mag supplement and water for a while. Here's an "artsy" photo :bigjoint:

Yeah I have 4 42watt bulbs (2700k) that I'll add in. Maybe more when I switch to flower. Should I add a couple in now? Or stick with just 5600k for veg?
Greenbean another note is that 3000K and below is considered yellow/red spectrum when looking at wavelength nm. That is used for flower specifically. You want to think Blue=Veg and Red=Flower putting some high 5-6000K bulb in would help some stretch between your nodes!

Greenbean I have to mention that flipping times back and forth is added stress in plants. Additionally having them on 24/0 is killing them in nature there is a saying "everything in moderation" they need rest to recover and use photosynthesis to grow. Running 20/4 is a good settling point.

That was the plan in the beginning but I had bought more bulbs. There's 8 23watt cfls all 5600k. I'll switch them all out for 8 42 watt 2700k bulbs. Maybe hang on bigger cfl in the middle if they're looking worth it

Maybe I'll put them back to 18/6 then. Don't want any added stress. Cheers!

Go to 18/6 and a week later go to 20/4 I usually give my ladies minimum five days before I ch age their light time around. Also don't now if I am understanding you correctly. You said there is 5600K bulbs in your room already or only 2700K? Use mostly blue light for now so the 5600K you can have a few "red" lights in there helps to keep the buds tight and dense. When you go to flower for sure go with the 42W 2700K x8 those will boost that Grren crackling to the moon!

I keep my lights out time consistent thru out the grow... 8pm. As long as they're not in flower you can change photo periods.. I prefer 20/4 as it provides 14 more hrs per week than 18/6.. plants keep time by counting dark periods..
Not daylight like us humans...

Day 38.

Ripped the bubbler and went to town tying these babies down again! Was a little aggressive again but that broken stem is healed and they're ready to go.
The little one is still smaller but almost caught up in her amount of nodes. Both buckets are almost completely dry. Will water with plain water tomorrow.
The big one is stacking nodes less that an inch apart, still haha. The plants are so short but they're almost 10-12 nodes tall! Here's the big one with the last ties, and then with the branches completely bent horizontally. The little one after is basically made of rubber lol.

Couldn't tell if the soil in the huge pots was dry enough to water. Got about 2 knuckles down and was pretty dry. Gave them half a gallon each of ph'd water with 3ml cal-mag and 1teaspoon seaweed kelp (recommended dose is 1tbsp).

Took all the wires back off and re-tied them all down even farther out, and down. Both canopys are completely flat and ready to go. I may readjust but they look like they're in a good place now to go vertical!

Took a couple shots of the stems and knuckles. On one you can see where the stem split is sealed up and is healing, on the other you can see the first pistil that appeared...ON a knuckle haha. It got huge, opened, I saw the hair, then it just stayed as is lmao. There are calyxs' peppered around the big plant and the tips of hairs. Little guy has a couple calyxs....
