First Grow Setup

Hey guys, newb here. Just finished making the majority of my first grow setup. Right now I set up a strictly vegetative rig. Im using seeds and soil and I am growing six sprouts that broke through and now have four leaves for about three days. When I can verify a good female plant I will clone it into six to eight plants. Right now I am using 2 4' T12 ott-lite flouros. They are 40w. I also have still in the box a setup for four more 23w CFLs that I plan to put in next week. I will try to grow these until they are about a foot tall and then move on to flowering. Right now the space i am using is a cutout in my closet in a loft space. It is moderately insulated so I have a heater hooked up to a thermostat to keep temperatures between 70-80. I also have a circulating fan in there to move air around. Im running the flouros 24hrs a day and plan to keep it on this for anothe ten days and then switch to 18/6 for the remainder of the vegetative cycle. Then I will be moving the plants into a separate location for flowering. I havent decided what light setup to use yet in this part. It is a closet roughly 2'x6'x8' with 8' being the height. Im going to cover the interior with visqueen and fabricate a zippered door to seal in the space behind sliding closet doors. I dont think heating it ill be an issue, more than this cooling will take its place. I am deciding whether to use the entire space for one crop or to split it into two stages. I have two 70w HPS lights right now. I think however I will get a 400w HPS instead and maybe throw in two CFLs for the lack of blue light in the HPSs I have read about. Just my thinking on that. I plan to veg till they are about a foot and then kick em into the flowering stage. I plan to leave the bottom open in an intake hole and put in a fan to circulate air inside. I am also going to buy an eBay scrubber/fan for the exhaust and run it to the nearest window. Hopefully the smell will be ok with just that working. I cant really tell how much smell will occur. Ill go with a standard 12/12 for flowering and use some sugar/molasses techniques for bud size. Right now Im using Pro-Mix potting soil with roughly half perlite for drainage. It was too muddy without that much perlite. They are 3qt pots and I hope this will be adequate for the size I am attempting. I would like to know what type of fertilizer or plant food I should use. Will this be good enough ventilation for these bulbs and space? Are these carbon filters effective? Is there anything I can do to make this rig better without substantial costs? Any ideas what type of exhaust fan will suit this volume of air? Thanks for the help.:joint::peace::blsmoke:
