First grow tent setup is done. Thoughts?

Here is my setup, i wanted to know if there were any issues with this. I've posted in the past but now have everything solved, i think.

-2x2x4 grow tent
-600w LED 300w equivalent
-2 60w 6500k cfls that i will switch out to 2700k at flower
-400 cfm inline fan with speed control out of the top
-2 clip on fans for circulation
-a little seed starter transplanting to 1gallon then 4.5 gallon
-general hydroponics flora trio
-general hydroponics calmagic
-FFOF
-black gold seedling mix

Let me know if there are issues with this so far. I think it is perfect i just want more opinions. Also, for those that live in the USA and get seeds illegally, you shouldn't do that but for educational purposes, where do you get them from? I heard online but everything is in europe.

have you got an ec/ppm pen? a ph pen, ph up and down, and thermometers/hygrometers?
what about pest control? i like spinosad a lot, but i like to have more than one thing around. i like how effective pyrethin is, but i'll only use it in veg, if i have to use something after flower, i stick to spinosad.
are you just blowing the air out of the tent into the room its in? because it'll just suck that hot air back in. if you're venting it outside, is odor an issue? if it is, you need to add a carbon filter rated just slightly higher than your fan is rated for, that way you can't over power the filter.

I heard ppm is only really important in hydroponics. I'm venting into the next room and smell isn't an issue. I do have thermometers and a hydrometer as well. So am i pretty prepared? I don't know how ordering from europe would work either.

A bluelab PH pen is a handy thing to have. It ensures you are starting off with the right PH for nutrients. But you can wait until you have nutrient deficiencies to find your lockouts. :o

Cheapy PH pens are not worth the time to buy them online

Sounds like an ok set up

Just dont nuke the seedling with the soil plus nutrients and youll be ok

If using soil wouldnt you want a nutrient with more organic matter then the trio?

Im trying cheap fertilizers now
But i just finished using some of RAW nutrients
1 part dry nutrients and they worked great
Just a little brown for my tastes in rdwc:)

But i would love it in dirt or coco

I'm waiting on a ph pen and ph up and down as well. I've seen people have success with the flora trio. Do i need a bluelabs pen or is a generic one okay.

A generic one will work...but keep it calibrated with the stuff that comes with it. A bluelab is worth the investment when that one craps out. I did the exact same thing and my bluelab PH pen and TDS meter are rockstars. Worth every single penny.

And cold$moke is right. Take it easy on nutes. Especially with FF soil.

I think the way to go is coco coir and nute it up like hydro. At least you have no residual soil shit creeping up. It is exactly what you add to it for nutes.

Someone can there are tons. I use canuck seeds because I live in the great white north eh. A lot of people have bad experiences with them but I never have. So far I have lost one seed from not germinating out of about 30 popped. And that is not too shabby.

With your LED lights heat will probably not be an issue. You may need a fan controller to reduce the speed of the exhaust fan. If you are using a carbon scrubber the media needs a few seconds to neutralize the odor. So slower is better.

The exception being when heat is an issue and you need to run that bad boy full blast.

Get growing, have fun and whatever you produce is going to be stellar !!!

i've ordered from canuck, too. the biggest inconvenience is having to tell your bank that you do indeed want that purchase to go through, then having to call them at Canuck and tell them to send it through again...sometimes have to do the whole thing twice. next time i order, i'm just sending an international money order, instead of dealing with my pain in the ass bank

It was better before. The freebies were stellar and plentiful. Now they are stellar and stringent. I will probably shift seedbanks when my hoard is depleted but I am good for a very long time (strains i love)
I have no financial interest in the company. I just found them to be in Canada when my wife was sick and at that time the freebies were crazy. Double if you paid cash or via etransfer etc etc.

I will try a lot of different seedbanks when i get lower. I really have to avoid seed sales.

And my wife died of brain cancer dec 2016. I do not say it for compassion just to understand how I could grow legal in Canada.
I got a script right after for anxiety. Now I grow 4 plants because that is the new rule and I love a constraint....so i can blow it out of the water.

its a decent bank, but i just watch for the 50% off sales they have, its nice getting 20 seeds with good genetics for 100-ish bucks.
the Vault is a good, long time bank, and they advertise here, always easy to get in touch with a rep.
i've done business with Seedsman, too, good bank, quick delivery, good freebies

Can you refer me to a seed bank? I live in the US.
I just ordered from Attitude Seed bank. Haven't used the seeds yet but they carry a lot of well known breeders and are pretty generous with the freebies. Only downside was they couldn't take a credit card online at the time. I wound up paying with Bitcoin, but that was a royal PITA. I would email them about payment before ordering just to make sure. Super responsive customer service too.

If you have any questions after you pop your beans let them rip. :) Pineapple Chunk sounds good to me... :D

I picked canuck because they are in Canada. If I were in the USA I would own a 45 long colt single action, a 45 ACP and I would buy from the USA for seeds. You have some of the best collectives in the world.

What I can tell you is this. Man you are going to learn a lot of stuff. And if you grow tomatoes on the deck you can rockstar those bad boys out with cannabis growhow.

I was just gifted a 400 watt hps that i can use for flower. What would you guys do? Replace the LED with the HPS when you switch to 12/12? Or add the HPS? Maybe i couldn't handle the heat either in a 2x2x4. But i do have a 400 cfm fan.
