thanks man cant wait till the buds really start to fill out and try them out! was a little disapointed in how "branchy" and stretched out it got and wished it would have been a little fuller

well went in and checked on the plant and looks like the top leaves were getting to close to the light and the edge of one started to get a little burnt so had to move the light up a little more. hopefully with the extra height the bottom buds will still get enough light

if u can try and add some cfls on the side as i was very disapponted with the lower bud sites on my grow. the cfls just didnt seem to penetrate the canopy enough

ok i will c if i can try to add some, i noticed the plant keeps getting taller to which is making me have to keep raising the lights as well making it worse for the bottom

Just a thought... can you mount one of your CFL's on top shining down, and the other on the bottom pointing up? I see people use side lighting all the time, don't know why putting one in the bottom of your little "reflective tube" you built would hurt anything. It doesn't look bad, but think you would benefit by getting some light to those bottom buds. I wouldn't expect much more than say 3/4OZ, but for free, you can't beat it! DISCLAIMER>>> I'M IN NO WAY A PROFESSIONAL... JUST A NOVICE GROWER THAT HAS DONE A LITTLE EXPERIMENTING WITH CFL'S. I'm sure someone will bitch-slap me if that's a dumb suggestion - but it can't hurt anything to try. You just don't want her to be so stretchy and end up with small loose buds instead of big rock hard dense nugs.

hey buddy i hang my cfls down the sides of the main cola and it allows it to penetrate closed to the inside buds. just my opinion though. in my last update with pics u can see the bug cfl hanging past thee main cola.

MDEVA: no dumb suggestions mate here. we like hearing what everyone says as long as it pertains to the forum topic. What nug you got growin?

Reminds me of my first :) Except I never used autos so don't know about them.

However, I always grow CFL and you need to move them lights around a bit.

I have mine on clips and move them around my tent as the plant grows, I add more and more as the plant gets bigger because the buds at the bottom won't get any light once the plants are over 2ft. (I say don't get light, they don't get quality light)

So add some lights down at the bottom, and it's better to have more lower wattage CFL's than to have fewer high wattage bulbs.

I kinda want to draw on your picture....

Ok, so if you can position one light at the top where they are already.

Then you NEED 2 at the bottom, it looks dark those buds will suck if you don't get em some light.

Once you have that try and get some light into that massive space around the sides of your plant.

Oh and trichomes, you will need a microscope to look at them properly. A cheap ebay one is fine (but my LED broke after about a year)

However if you get a bright torch on it during the dark cycle and have a close look at the buds you can just about see what looks like tiny shiny droplets.

it just looks dark in the pictures because i have to move the reflective pannels to take a picture. normally its toally surrounded and has alot more light

hey guys i need someone to help me pls i have an autoflowering haze indoors it is now 68 days old and it has reached 1,79 cm of height i would like to know if this is normal.thank you

Traveller, yes, but you probably could of done something during the grow to keep the height down.

bkrblood, CFL's can't produce light at the right intensity lower down, LED's like those only do any good during veg as they have next to no penetration.

If you get some more lights close to the lower parts of your plant you will massively improve the buds near the bottom of the plant.

In my own grows you can't tell the difference between a top and another bud.

It'll put on a lot of weight the last weeks, so I don't think we can estimate here, and the bottom leaves , yeah that is perfectly normal, If the loosing color start progressing too fast, up the nutes a bit, but if it's not that fast, dont worry.
