First grow

Honestly friend they look awful lol. I wouldn't expect much out of cfl lights tho. If you're not using hid lights I personally don't think growing weed is worth the trouble or risks. Unless you have no options for dispensaries or dealers.

Yeah but I gotta start somewhere right. No dispenseries or access to it. Starting to get into the growingredients about 7 months ago. So if I get anything off of this plant worth smoking it'll be a success imho. Thanks for your reply.

Hey bud. The first one can be rough. I'm just finishing up my first and learned lots of important things along the way. One thing I see looking at you plants is they are getting too much fertilizer, more specifically, nitrogen. You can tell by the extremely dark leaves and the clawing downwards of the leaves. Nitrogen toxicity, look it up.

I would deffinitely look into led's or HID for your next run

Mine had some pretty bad N-tox so I flushed them all and most bounced back nicely, a couple were too far gone and didn't do much more growing

You aren't wrong. You can get a cheap hid set up for $150 and you would get 400x the amount and quality. You're increasing your odds of being trouble with the law or being the target of a home invasion when you grow and so you should make it worth it is all I'm saying friend! And only hid or led lights are gonna make it worth it. And hid lights are much cheaper, accessible, and fool proof for a beginner.

I will be getting hid for my next grow. Can I save this girl in the meantime?

You can certainly finish that girl out to harvest, to me the plant issues are pretty minor. Your biggest issue is the lack of energy going into your plant, it won't bulk up much; it will take longer to ripen, and nothing outside of upgrading the light is gonna change that. Not trying to be a bummer brother! But upgrade to 600 or 1000 watt hid and after one grow you'll know What I'm talking about.

Thanks so much. Also I don't have any way to see trichomes up close, how to know when to harvest? Should I just run her for the standard 8 weeks and pray? From the pictures how much longer approximately?

I would run the standard eight weeks probably and call it.

Hey I'm 5 weeks into flowering. I guess I'm doing fair for my first grow. I have a 2×2×5 grow tent with 7 23 watt cfl's and I had a thrip problem that I'm treating with an over the counter soap spray. (Garden safe). I would like to know if my plants look ok? I know silly question.

Great 1st grow! You did over fertilize so next grow you can back down on the nutes. You are probably over watering, the #1 mistake made by new growers. I don't agree with 1000W for a new grower. 400 - 600 HPS with a good bulb can get you from start to finish by itself. Then you can learn about T-5. MH, LED, and whatever else is out there. Definitely you can smoke that bud and hopefully get a good buzz. It will take a long time to dry and cure to get the fertilizer out of the bud. If you smoke it before then it will likely be harsh to smoke.

I do not personally believe there is that much learning curve between a 600 watt and a 1000 watt. Lower wattage lights require more skill if anything. They do not penetrate that well so more advanced training techniques like scrogging are needed to truly maximize yield. 1000watt lights offer greater penetration, you can top your plants once to create some extra heads and from top to bottom your buds will be well developed, where a 600 watt will only give you a top canopy. This lets you use a shorter veg time since you don't have to do excessive training, and if you do desire to do extra training, it'll pay off twice as much.

Everything that your saying makes sense for someone that is thinking yield IMHO, but it's his 1st grow, he should be thinking crystal.
I just created this for my signature a few days ago. No one has commented on it yet and I haven't asked anyone's opinion of it till now, I would like your opinion. Might be stupid advice, IDK might be smart advice.
What is you opinion of this:

First Time Indoor Soil Growers!
Think small.
What matters to you most quality or yield?
Learn to grow great crystal before you learn to increase yield.
Thinking about yield on your 1st, 2nd or 3rd grow will lead to disappointment.
Smaller plants are less demanding.
Smaller plants increase your chance of success.

Well as I said first grow. Uuuggh. I am getting a 400 has for my next grow. But until I understand the whole process and get everything that I could possibly need I'm going to hold off until I get it all all I'm short is one feminized Auto strain seed of 400 HPS and maybe another intake fan after that I'm ready

If you don't have a grow book one of these books would be a good buy, I have both, many growers do.
