Hy everyone!

This is my first grow ever and I would like to have the help of this great community. My White Widdow seedlings have just days old and I already have paranoia!!!
) But about this later...

I have a closet 190x80x45cm closet, 150w HPS Lamp with Reflektor. 190m[SUP]3/[/SUP]h exhaust fan and another fan inside the closet. The humidity 40-50% and the temperature at the top of the plant is 30C degrees but the thermometer maybe can`t mesure correctly under the light. In the middle of the closet is 28C degrees. The distance between the lamp and the plant is 40 cm.

The walls are covered with reflektive alu folie 3mm. The material is used for isolation under the Laminant Parkett and it`s covered with Aluminium folie.

I bought from online growshop: Bio Grow/Bloom Biobizz. I have a relative expensive soil for flowers. Have some perlite inside and Agrosil (they say it help the root system) + have some green balls inside no clue what is that. This soil is used for gardening but I hope it`s good. The PH of the soil is 5.5 - 6.

So what do you think guys ? What should I buy more or how should I do to make a better life for my plant :) ?

Any opinion and council makes me happy!

Here comes the first pictures.

thx! One Love!

Can do, however if your going with soil you need your PH @ 6.8 to 7.0. Don't user soil if plan on pouring synthetic nutrients.
Your better off if you use a coco/perlite mix for that type of setup.

If you want chemical free fruit with a great taste and flavor go organic and use soil amendments that are natural. Pick up teaming with Microbes for soil growing is all about producing a environment in soil web where the mycro beasties break down the nutrients and make them readily available for your babies.

Check out the links in my signature, I'll be your sponsor if you so desire... :)

Thx mate! Your stuff was really helpfull. I also read the book from Ed (Closet grow). I was just thinking my first grow I will do in soil cuz all other other possibilites is to heavy for me :P
Actually he`s in small container yet..he will be transplanted soon as possible. Do you think I can`t transplant in coco/perlite. Actually I can get some good compost from my workplace. 100% Bio :P
In the book from Ed I read that the PH must to be between 5.5 and 6 :-?? Idk I study a lot about growin but I`m still nab :)

So what you think Dank? I should change my medium now or I should run this like this and then do another way with the next ? And do not use fertilisers? Sorry my english is not so good...can you explain like how u do with a 5 year old kid ?:))

Actually I plan to grow 2 plant but idk why in the end I just did 1. I have more 4 seeds of 100% feminized White Widdow.

Another question do you think it`s better if I get some CFL lights for vegi and use the HPS for flowering ?

Today I`m already in day#6. How much water should I give for my little seedling ? And I should wait until the soil is fully dry ?

Thx mate
One love

Actually your right :) Ed said right. Ph 6-6.5. I should throw my soil or I should buy PH up ?:)

You could start fresh, but hey this is your first chance to deal with an issue and PH is key in soil. There are several things you can do to screw it up. Go slow and only when your sure your in the know about what your doing. Soil is most forgiving and when done right will do all the work for you. I would suggest at some time reading up on soil reciepes a tried and true that works for MOST strains NOT ALL, is Super Soil by Subcool you can't miss it on this site under Organic Formum.

Now to your low soil PH, first what are you watering with, do you have a water PH meter if not get one to test your water source with, very very important. No strips a pen meter by Milwaukee for like $20 bucks give take one or two.

Can't correct a problem if your creating one by watering with a source that could change the PH by introducing too high PPM content into the soil or water that is just too low a PH.

Anywise you could use some dolomite lime. Grow More make this I have used to quickly correct soil PH this form is faster acting and you can't just use any lime source.

In time you will learn young jedi dank master.... :) :weed:

I would dilute it one tablespoon to gallon water, water lightly at first get SOIL PH PROBE (the bigger the longer the better the probe, "that's what she said?)...then test soil or wait a few hours run distilled water till run off, read last part of run off with PH water meter.

Should you decide to transplant let me know I will share with you a great TIP on how to lower transfer shock to roots and promote greater root growth zone in the soil, for them to flourish.

thx. Defienetly I`ll do that. Thx a lot. I don`t have a ph meter. I`m using tap water heated until 100`s (C) and then room temperature + 0.3 ml Bio Grow fertiliser, I wait until the soil is dry and then I give him 1.5 cl

The lights are running 18/6. Temp day 28-29C in the night 21-22. Extractor and ventilation fully work 24/24. He already have the 2nd set of leafs. He have 7 days. He grow a little bit strange cuz I put the ventilation direct and he grow to one side. But I stick it and now it`s fine.

Thx a lot

I was thinking I`ll transplant how Ed writed in the "Closet cultivator". To hit with the container at a hard surface and then just place in the container with soil filled to the half. And then good watering...Here comes the picture: Day #8 Vegi!IMG-20130828-WA0000.jpg

when vegging its okay actually you'll get faster growth with a 24/24 cycle. But your running HPS its only 150 so it will get you through vegging, but if you want any real weight you will need to get a stronger light then 150 HPS. You can go all the way with it but keep your expectation in check unless you can swing a better light when it comes time for flower and that is when you need your best lights. Currently I keep my clones under CFL until they reach the later stage of veg during their mainline training then a couple weeks prior to flower I use LED UFO 135w 10 band with 3w diodes. This really helps them boost their growth prior to flower and also helps them adjust cause I have more powerful LED lights in my flower box. There is a lumes to plant ratio believe it or not that one wants to get close too but not always possible.

I was looking back at your using biobiz I am really curious to how well it will active bacteria that is needed to break down nutrients for plants also curious to effect on soil PH. Haven't used this at all so please keep good notes on your feeding and log ph levels, leaf color, growth as you veg this plant. Keep the light just so the back of your hand above the canopy is very warm but not burning hot uncomfortable. This will ensure best light exposure possible, keep an eye out for any drying burning signs at the top when keeping light close, you don't want to burn the top that will slow things down and could be a mortal blow at this young age. But you want it close to prevent stretching and keep nodes close.

Looking good I would add a little more perlite to my soil or substitute to give a little more aeration and space for bacteria to harbor from in soil.

Looking good just keep it green and healthy.

Need a bigger container soon, soil is fine. You can upgrade as you get better. Keep it simple.

Thx mate this is a nice entry!!!
Actually I think my soil have enough perlite. He had 15% perlite from the start and + I added some more, + I`m thinking to add some compost cuz I can get some really good quality... The plant is doing really nice until now. I don`t have any pictures yet. I water every day 1cup( 1dl) distilled water + 1 ml Bio Bizz Grow. I am also really courius how will work.

About the lights idk. I think for 1 plant it`s enought 15k lumen. Actually I was thinking to get some cfl for vegi cuz of the energy.
I would like to have 400W HPS but I didn`t get it cuz of the energy consumation. U know dude I grow in a country where is illegal and I don`t wanna get busted with those heavy lights...This is the reason why I`m using for vegi 18/6. Ahh and my extractor and fan in the closet they are working 24/24. Is that a problem or is that good? I have to take a digital timer to intrerupt them I think. Today in the evening will come some new photos.

Thx mate 1 more time!

Thx mate. I`ll try it. I have a containter 8l is that enough? I was also planning to transplant soon. I was thinking day #14. Also at 5-6 Sept. Is that ok u think ?

My soil PH is 5.5 -6.5. Is not that bad I think :P. But maybe i`ll use some ashes to bring PH up cuz I`ve read the Bio Grow is not changing the PH of the soil.

I observed on the stem from the soil until the first node it`s like a plastic or idk what. I looks like he`s changing skin. Idk what is this could you help me out guys ?20130901_222433.jpg20130901_222405.jpg20130901_222357.jpg20130901_222424.jpg

If I woke up in your shoes and I wanted to keep a low profile and yet manage to keep myself stocked with frosty dank swagolicious buds I would make the investment for CFLs for sure on the 24/24 veg cycle (See a Mr. Vega post for CFLs, he is doing amazing things).

I would also find a proper LED 8 band with 3 watt diodes to supplement your HPS to provide more coverage and greater spectrum. 15K lumes is not bad for one plant but you can do better with less electricity. Not only will you save in power using them but your need to exhaust heat wont't be as great keeping fans, coolers ect power use down.

This should reduce your electric footprint. You may want to think about going with Solar Panels and a battery array down the line if you really like HIDs for lights and want to expand that while keeping a low electric foot print.

You should have at least 20 to 25 percent perlite or equivalent. Watch your watering you don't want to encourage root rot, also it's good to let the soil dry here and there. Watch your humidity too keeping that in check especially during flowering where it should be under 50 percent. Keep air circulation good low flow will let powerdy mildew form.

If your growth has slowed down let soil dry, gently removing plant and soil from container see if you are root bound, you should have a larger part ready to go at least a 3 gallon with some mycro (fungi and bacteria mixed into new soil at time of transplant. These microbeast need to come into immediate contact with roots to form relationship. If not they will die. This is best thing you can do in transplant to reduce stress and encourage vigorous growth.

PS using distilled water on a regular basis is going to set you up for Cal/Mg deficiencies. Get some General Organics CaMg+ or organic equivalent . The changes your begining to see could be a result of using purely distilled water.

Thx :)

What you think guys how much should I water my baby now ? The another small seedling is only for fun there he`s not a "good" seed :)
But my White Widdow soil is getting dry fast I think. I give 4 dl / day(aprox. 0.1 gallon) . Is that fine ? I should place something on the soil to evitate evaporation. Maybe it`s from the HPS.

And how much should I leave more in vegi ? Now he have 2 weeks. I was thinking 1 month vegi is fine . Or is to much ? Cuz on my BioBizz growschedule stay 2 weeks is fine....But I think I`ll leave until he reach 25cm. How much he will grow more in flowering ?

One love!
