Okay so here's the news....

The one plant is being grown in average everyday store bought potting soil. It's suffered from deficiencies and is starting it's recovery after I added some home made vermitea to it.

Plant 2 is in my home made soil and doesn't seem to be showing any signs of a deficiency that I'm aware of, inform me if I'm wrong/blind'", and is growing quite well.

Tell me what you think?

The picture makes it look like your plant(s) will not be getting as much sunlight as they should judging by the large shadow.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Okay, so heres another update on my grow.

So plant one is recovering really well, this vermitea is amazing, look at the improvement in just 3 days from vermitea application.

The plants seem to be doing okay, we did have an aphid infestation, but I picked as many off as I could and sprayed the entire plants with a hose.

Let's see how this week goes...

So it's been a few days, so here are a few pics....

The one plant may be developing a nitrogen toxicity as I had to bring it out of a nitrogen deficiency, so I may have over compensated on the nitrogen. But we will see in a few days. I watered them with just water, no added nutes, just to give them a break. Will see how she looks on sunday day and update you guys.

And just to make those who aren't smoking right now jealous, I got myself a little mango kush from what I believe...

Peace out.

Okay, so I'm not sure if anyone is following here, but I'll just keep updating, lol!

So the girls seem to be growing nicely now, the toxicity wasn't actually a toxicity, I think it was the start of one, but the plant somehow self regulated itself in like a day, which was insane to watch!

I only have a pic of my outdoor plant which I started off a bit later than the rest.

I'll post some pics tonight as I never got a chance to take pics this morning, was worried about being late to work haha.
Here's the outdoor plant, turns out it's loving the African sun!

Hey everyone,

So last night I removed the ballast of my hps fixture that was in the box, as it was creating high temps in my grow cab. I found an old psu for a computer and emptied it and put all the ballast components into it and attached it to the top of my cab. Hopefully my temps will drop significantly!

The plants seem to be doing well, I'll be adding a second exhaust fan this weekend and fixing up the space blankets I buggered up when I took the light out, like a damn idiot!

My worm farm is frikken amazing, these worms just devour anything, I actually don't produce enough waste to feed them! I think it's great for the environment, and my plants love the castings they produce, it's so rich in nutrients! I would recommend to anybody whether growing or not to get one and recycle your waste!

I'm vegging for one more month and then I'll flip to 12/12 and add another 150w hps to the show. I'm sticking with 2x150w hpses because it's a challenge and I think a lot of people underestimate them, as well as I'd like to see what the best yield I can get from them! From then on I'll use 1x150w with an MH bulb for veg and then for flower use both 150w hpses with hps bulbs obviously. It'll be nice to see the difference in the way the plant grows during veg under an MH bulb vs how it has under my hps.

Here are some pics.....

Thanks guys!
Any feedback welcome..

good thinking on the PSU front.

How far away are your lights? some of mine are at about the same stage and they're only about 1 foot away under a 600w hps and growing beauitfully.

Hey everyone, here's another update on my grow.

My plants seem to be doing a lot better and growing a bit faster since I removed the ballast from the box. My thoughts are that the stress from the increased temps were stunting their growth.

I watered them today with clean, fresh and clear rain water from this afternoons rain shower. Will see how they find the water in a day or two.

The aphids have disappeared since I removed them from the leaves and branches and introduced the companion plant (mint) to the grow box.

Here are some pics of the ladies just before bed.

Pic 1 : Plant 1 Birds Eye View (Width approx. 48 cm) From germination approximately 54 days ago.

Pic 2 : Plant 1 Side view (Height approx. 35cm)

Pic 3 : Plant 2 Side View (Height approx. 28cm) From germination approximately 60 days ago.

Pic 4 : Plant 2 Birds Eye View (Width approx. 32cm)

Plant two had a rough start in a solo cup and some severe dehydration. This is the reason it is older yet smaller. She also had a severe nitrogen deficiency as you may have read in a previous post. But she recovered really well from it.

Hope you enjoyed the entry, if you have any tips, tricks or criticisms, please feel free to comment.

Take it easy, and if it's easy take it home.;)

Hey bud,

My lights are about 15cm from the canopy tops, I like a the way they stretch a little bit.

My plants are only under 150watts of hps, so I'm sure your plant is a bit bigger than mine, but I'm taking the grow slowly and vegging for another month. Hopefully by late December I'll be able to switch to flower. Once I switch to flower I'll add my other 150w hps to the box and have about 30000 lumens which will equate to 5,400 lumens/ft² which should do for flowering.

This is for the reply, I'll check out your profile for your grow.

Take it easy.

Hello everyone, I know it seems like I'm posting a lot, but I feel like days go by and I completely miss them, so posting is helping me keep track of the time of year and day of the week. Honestly I can't believe it's December already, like wtf happened to this year, where did the time go??? But anyways, here's some pics of the ladies, I'm a little worried about the stretch for the sativa dom looking lady, as when I switch, she could easily double in size, and I might run out of head room for her, so I'll need to decide whethrr to switch at the end of next week or veg a little longer until the end of December.

Tell me what do you guys think I should do?

So yesterday I bought another 150w ballast and hps bulb so that I can add another 150w to flower with. I just need to get a few more components as I put my lights together from scratch, I will post a small DIY post later in the week, probably sunday to show how I did it. It cost me around $20 for all the components to build the light. It's going to be a dual bulb homemade wing reflector hps setup. Single ended bulbs. I'll post some pics as I go along as well as the DIY thread.

Here are some pics from this morning:

Pic 1 : Plant 1 Top View
Pic 2 : Plant 1 Side View
Pic 3 : Plant 2 (least healthy as suffered serious deficiencies and heat stress)
Pic 4 : Plant 3 (Youngest plant, outdoor)

So plant 3 is growing really well, loving the sun! Just have to hope it's a girl.

Take it easy guys.

First question. Are they on carpet or concrete? If your on carpeting and letting them drain everywhere you are introducing an insane amount of mold potential to the entire room. Not good for living in, let alone the havoc it can bring to your plants.
