First indoor grow setup

So as the title says, this is my first indoor grow and my first post. I have been doing alot of research for the past five moths of so on this site and others. I finally just bought the stuff for my setup. I wanted to post my setup here on the forums to see if there is anything that I have missed or any tips or constructive Critisism out there.

I bought a 4×8 grow tent, 2 1000 watt cool tubes, 2 6 inch 460 cfm exhaust fans and all my ducting. I installed two 20 amp circuit breakers in my Electrical panel and ran 1 outlet off off each breaker. I am going to run one light off of each breaker and then split the rest of the electrical between the two breakers.

My two lights are cooled with one 6 inch 460 cfm variable speed inline fan. I am drawing air from outside the tent through the lights and back out the tent. My carbon filter is run off its own 460 cfm inline fan. Both fans will be vented outside.

This basement window is going to be removed and replaced with plywood. Then I am going to install two dryer vents and run ducting to my fans

I will be putting two oscillating fans in the tent also. Right now there seems to be alot of negative pressure inside the tent even with the fan on low. How much negative pressure is to much? The fan cooling the lights does Not create any negative pressure because it is drawing air from outside the tent.

So what do you guys think of this setup. Did I miss anything?

Looks good so far man nice work :)

As far as negative pressure it doesnt have to be crazy like pull the walls in. but for smell your not doing bad.

As long as you can maintain environment your good :)
Thank you for the reply. My negative pressure is crazy then because it is pulling the walls in This is with my fan on low. what can I do to conter act the negative pressure

Sweet setup! Speaking of negative pressure, I'm new to this myself, and I have a mini grow box which has only passive vents for fresh air intake for air exchange, I have a solid exhaust fan pulling through a carbon filter much like the one in the pictures...how much passive venting should one have to allow enough air to exchange in a given space?

OP...how many air intake vents do you have for the tent itself (not the lights, those seem to have an isolated air cooling system).

Thanks. I am pretty happy with the setup so far. I have 4 air intakes at the bottom of the tent

One more newbie observation. Since the lights are in-line in terms of the exhaust ducts, would the light closest to the exhaust fan pulling air get super heated by the hot air coming off of the first light farthest away from the fan? Or is that heat minimal anyway?

Just play with it bud.

Do you have all your intakes open atm?

Just keep opening them till it gets where you want

If they are all open then you either need a variac dimmer for the fan to take it lower or add air for inline (rarely needed)

I ran the lights for about five hours today and the air coming out of the fan seems fairly cool. all the ducting feels cool also.

At the moment I only have one vent open. Each vent is about one foot wide by6 inches tall. I will start opening them one at a time until I get the pressure right. Thanks alot for the reply

Not bad in a 2 light set up .
But each light will make it progressively warmer in big runs of lights with the last light running hotter then the first

I guess the one thing i can think of is shine a light in your ducting and see if it comes through if not your good

As in make sure its light proof

Good stuff! I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out of this here tent! Any plans for strains or medium yet?

I am using Happy frog soil. I plan on putting eight plants in the tent. I will be using five gallon smart pots. I'll be using fox farms grow big and big bloom during veg and tiger bloom during flower. I have had good luck with fox farms outside plus the nursery down the road from me sells it lol. as far as strains I have no Idea yet. I know I'll have atleast one northern lights. Helps me sleep lol
