First post, almost first grow, 250W HPS, soil

Hi, everyone!

Although this is my first post on the forum, I have been doing a lot of reading here during the past few months. As I have always found answers to my problems with the help of this forum and others, I have never actually felt like posting anything myself.

However, yesterday a friend with a good camera came over and took some pics of my girl that's just over 3 weeks into flowering and now I just feel like sharing them with someone.

I consider it to be my first real grow because this is the first time that I'm using good lighing and nutrients and have invested in some pH measuring equipment. I have experimented with some low-wattage fluorescents and some random nutrients a few times before but only one of them was from seed to harvest (which wasn't anything remarkable).

This time I'm using a 250W HPS in a cupboard that's about 1m x 0.5m x 1.5m (height). I also have one 12 cm PC case fan for air intake and another for outtake plus some flexible ducting for directing the air flow towards the plant. It was grown from bagseed (had two originally, but one was a male) and just before flowering I took two clones as well. I am quite happy with the results so far. I am using soil from a local gardening store mixed with some perlite. Currently feeding her HESI Bloom Complex, Phosphorus Plus and SuperVit.

Unfortunately my friend only sent me some close-ups of the colas but I have added another pic taken with a lower quality camera just to give you an idea of the overall size of the plant.

Any comments are welcome. I know I should have bought a bigger pot but

Looks good for 3 weeks in. Make sure to capitalize on your first pic. Lol. People seem to go apeshit when a fan leaf produces a bud.

Unfortunately I haven't a slightest idea of what strain it might be. All I do remember is that it was some good smoke.

Hi all! Sorry I haven't been keeping the thread up to date but here are two shots taken on day 54 of flowering.

What do you think? I know you can't see the whole plant but any idea how much longer I should keep them alive? I was hoping to harvest at the end of week 8 but due to lack of experience I am not sure if the buds have reached their peak potency yet. It is quite hard to tell the colour of the trichs using the 10x magnifier I have (couldn't find anything better yet) but it seems that at least some of them have turned milky.
