Seeds were put in paper towels for 3 days then in trays under 24/0 flo's for another 5 i believe. Temp:70-75 Humidity:45-55

Now they are in a 4x7x8 room under 1000w HPS, 6" air cooled hood, fans, humidifier, and a small heater for cold nights. Light:20/4 Temp:76-83 Humidity:38-50 (still a little low at times)

They are in Foxfarm Ocean Forest and man is this stuff great! Half are given Earth Juice Grow and Catalyst every other water, and the other half are given Earth Juice Grow, Catalyst, Pureblend Cal-Mag, and Dyna-Gro Pro-TekT to see the difference. Right now, no noticable differnce. pH:6.3-6.6

First pic is Oct. 5. The others are October 17. And i know they should be 1 PER POT, but half will probably be males, of whats left we will keep the 10-12 best females 1 PER POT. They are bag seeds so this is kind of a test run until my Silver Pearl and Jock Horror arrive. Well, what does everyone think, besides to many per pot? And check out the purple stems everyone is talking about. When we first germed them we had some temp problems. It would get in the mid 60's then up to the mid 80's. I think thats why they are purple...but everything is fixed now and they are so healthy! Thanks for reading and Please stay tuned.

You will have major problems with growing several plants in 1 pot. Their roots will entangle, some of them might be males, you'll have to cut the males before they pollinate your females. The male's roots will rot in the pot and you won't be able to untangle them...replant while it's not late.

Don't worry about humidity, it's fine, mine's at about 30-35 now too. Also that's way too many plants for that area. You can use smaller pots and replant right now or spread the grow area.

Otherwise they look very nice.

JESUS CHRIST GUYS!!! I specifically said that i knew that there were to many per pot. I will be able to tell what they are in about 2-3wks. The roots will not be tangled in that time, and even if they are im not digging up the males, im going to cut them a little below soil. That will not hurt the other one, and the males roots wont continue to grow or anything and they're not going to rot in the few weeks. When i am finished i will have 10-12 plants with 1 PER POT!!! And a 4x8 space is not to small for 10 or 12 and its big enough to let all those plants grow big enough to see sex.

!!!Please, if you are going to say something about "To many plants per
pot" do not reply at all!!!!
This is my journal. I want your opinions, thoughts, and advice very much. But please, not about the plant/pot ratio. Please respect my request.

I just have to comment :D

How do you plan on sexing the plants after 2 weeks?

4 plants in one pot...risky business

Have you ever seen a root system & how quick it develops?

What lights are you using?

You are saying not to comment on the plant/pot ratio but i dont think you realize how annoying/hard its going to be having to dig out & untangle the roots, not to mention all the stress its going to cause to your other plants :?

Would it not have just been easier to plant them all in small cups/pots for now?

hey fatal, nice set up, im about to start my new indoor grow 2, i had started my 1st inside grow with V V but it had major problems and now its a outside grow for now, lol.
but like you said if you get 10-12 nice plants going, it would be nice to see how it goes, i will be following this one.

IF the plants are far enough away you could try putting a peice of card the exact size of the pot straight down the middle between the two plants, thus stopping the roots for funning into eachother and basically splitting your 1 pot into 2.

I didnt say ANYTHING about sexing them after 2 wks. They are 2 weeks old right now, i would say another 2-3wks and i will see preflowers. I am not going to pull the males out, im going to CUT THEM AT SOIL LEVEL, MAYBE LOWER!!! No stress on the plants. Also, since no one seems to want to take my word for it, you guys seem to trust fdd right? Even he agrees! He said he grew 3-4 females per pot with no problems. Roots choking each other is a myth. Yes they may be stunted if i left them in there until harvest, but i will have only 1-2 per pot in a few weeks when is see preflowers. For all of you naysayers, just keep following and you'll see.

can i veg with a 600 watt hps as dont wanna get an other light wanna use same all the way to flowerin so is it possible? and wht should the room temp be and huminity for veg and flowering?

Widowlover, yes you can use that from start to finish. During veg keep temps from 75-80 and humidity around 45-50. During flower, you can lower the temp just a little and keep humidity around 30-40max. Lower humidity towards end has been shown to increase thc and also minimize chance of fungus and mold on your buds.

you people are mean. the guy said it was a "bag seed experiment". he's got the good beans on the way.

has anyone ever grown more than one plant per pot? what happened?

once again i grew 4 in a 5 gallon square pot. outside. they finished just fine.

i have this book written by "soma". he builds square boxes. i think they are 8' X 8' and about 18" deep, maybe a little deeper. he fills them with soil then plants clones in them. something like 12 - 18" apart. i'd have to pull the book out to get the exact numbers but you get the idea.

your plants look great. very thick stalks. nice tight node spacing. a little more soil to help support them like you said. all looks very nice.

Wow, thank you everyone who had something positive to say. And thank you fdd2blk for agreeing with me. You seem to demand a little more respect around here than i do :) Maybe people will lay off me now and maybe try it themselves instead of going by the growFAQ religously. Try something new people, its the best way to learn. I also want to hear the negative things too, thats the only way im going to learn. But the pot/plant ratio is over...

Oh, fdd2blk, i was wondering about the node spacing. So you say thats pretty good? I measured most of them the other day and theres a very small few that have nodes more than 1/2in apart...none are more than 3/4" apart. I hope that makes for some big buds!!! And yes, those stalks are pretty thick. We've had 3 fans blowing oh them since they day they poked their little heads out of the soil. This is my first serious indoor grow and im doing pretty good only because of this site and everyones help. Thank you guys so much!

Edit:And just to make sure i get the males out ASAP, when do preflowers start showing? Its like 3-4 weeks from time of sprout right? And its around or above 4th node? Im sure i can find them when it happens, but i just want to be sure.
