Plants look solid man!! Definitely watching this! And totally do it...I've got two lights up!... definitely needed the cool tube and a couple inline fans though lol... few other tweaks here and there... had to bail on the tent and just using the whole room.
Many ways about the HID lights for effective grows in smaller spaces if necessary. I personally didn't enjoy how my mars 600 worked in a little grow I had... plant was very small and dense sure but I really didn't get any real size! To top is off it wasn't as cool temperature wise as I've heard... but it wasn't a cob so I can't beak! I just use 1x1000w hps or mh and then a 600w mh or hps depending flower/veg... either way! My Temps are at a solid 22-24° peak and down as low as 18° in the evening. Just a few fans around and the inline with cool tubes and boom bud-explosion

Just about to hit the 6th week flower myself!... 7x bubbleponics! 7x soil clones

It is mh 600w but I will be adding a 600w hps tomorrow so really gonna bake these with both lights?
Think I may have a look at making some cob led lights up as I'm a design engineer with 3d cad and access to cnc mill.
Also got an electronic/electrical background so should be easy.
What do you think about running both lamps?
with that size tent (4x8), you should def run both lamps if you can keep the tent temps within reason.

Alright pal yeah hopefully be putting another 600w hps in there with the 600w mh both new bulbs this grow so should be interesting.
Tent is erh? 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m or 4f x 8f x 6.7f ish ha depends what side of the pond you live lol
Gonna up my canna aqua flores as well from the current 850ppm to 1100 as this has gone down from 950 ppm in 3 days.

Ph is pretty stable at 5.8 to 6...
I ph down to 5.8 again this seem to happen over 2 to 3 day cycles.

Just put a massive fan at the other end off the tent probably 20" inch which is only on when the lights are on. I do have another circulation fan/cooler evaporation thing ( good for bringing humidity up ) through veg.

Will bang a new picture up tomorrow should of done a journal really but was too nervous.
Joined years ago and when I asked my first question got shit of of few guys on here for being a newbie and just thought fook that.
Just been a bit of a reader/try it Guy. Soil and coco for 15 years all hid lights
Some real nice folk on here though and really helpful, been nice to open my mouth again and get some real honest feed back.

I think this is going to do well for you.

Ok people bit the bullet and put the 600w hps and 600w mh in there now . Bit messy as cables not long enough so will have to tidy it up at the weekend.

It is very bright in there so fingers crossed now, the lamps have just started up in the pics so not very bright but now they have warmed up Boooom!

Also put ppm to 1100 and added canna boost to the mix

I can see already temps will be an issue! may have to add more extraction?

I've got the "cool tubes" for each with yeah some ducting running from my carbon scrubber through the lights with a second inline fan between them, straight into my little custom filtering the stank reducer box and right out the window.
When I had two lights in a tent... which was my last grow... versus a whole room... I had to slap an a/c unit in there and that was a pricy energy bill... avoiding the a/c at all cost this time! Lol!

Yes air Temps... I had good solid dark pails at the time and not much light was making it to the bottom of the tent... my water Temps stayed below 20° at all times... I was just fighting to keep the air temp below an embarrassing 28-30°... ac bumped em down to what ever though

Sat at about 81f at the min but that's bound to go up. Gonna ad another 6inch duct fan but the issue with this at the moment is all that hot air will just get sucked right back in the tent.

Can't get over how intense the light is in there with both on. Sunglasses time

Best of luck man! I'll keep shooting suggestions if I come across any!... co2 bags also help your plant handle higher amounts of heat for relatively cheap

can you vent outside?

Cheers man shouldn't have issues with water temps as running a bigger chiller than I need anyway,

Co2 I brew cider by my tent throughout flower as it's warm and I had my best crop ever in respect of taste and density while doing this.

23 litre brew 1 per week and you get some tasty cider or fruit cider at the end as well.
Thinking of piping into the top of my tent but want everything else dialed in before I concern myself too much with co2.

Nooooo don't think so I'm in the UK and not a very good position for venting hot air out my house. Thought maybe drill into the chimney and vent that way as hot air coming up a chimney doesn't look as bad as a window or some sort of vent.

Stealth is a must in my current location.
Already think I have upset next door with my chillers vibration haha

Thinking of making something for it to sit on maybe an inflatable toddlers pool ring and stick a board on top so it's gonna kinda be sat on a cushion of air?? Thoughts on this would be great?

I have my air pumps and shit sitting on an old microfiber pillow somewhat enclosed in a padded/cardboard box to deaden sound and vibration... Im using 2x Hydrofarm AAPA45L 20-Watt 45-LPM Active Aqua Commercial Air Pumps so that plus my inline fans is clearly heard throughout the inside of the house... but just outside the window is pure silence... even though I have it cracked 1/4 open for my ducting... also if you are worried about nosy neighbors peeking over the fence or anything buy some window tint... I've got mirrored tint on the outside of most of my house windows just to dodge any suspicion! That plus cardboard on the inside and there is zero light leakage.

Also made a nifty air tight siliconed up vent box with many layers of filter screen+bounce sheets and one carbon filter on the inside... hooked right up before it exhales out the window...smells like we be doing laundry for days! But there has been absolutely wonderful Temps this year... from -10 to +10 degrees outside usually averaging 0 at night... since about February! So I am getting graced with no mad steam from my window nor rising Temps with 20+ weather

This is what I use with flexible air stones or air injection.
Air pump is super quiet and I sleep in the same room lol, the loudest thing I have running by far is my extraction fan with carbon filter attached 6 inch duct fan. Heard of people putting them in boxes with foam or pillows but do your air pump not get to hot ie pump hot air into you system?

Mine is 60lpm pump going just to 4 pots, I am also flooming my circulation pump and have my chiller return waterfalling but these only do this in my res not the buckets them self.

Not worried about the roots at they are going crazy.

Might try running the mh at the lower setting as this is on a digital ballast and the hps is on a magnetic. Might reduce heat enough while I'm out at work. Find out tomorrow hope I don't cook them!

Ps your like me love building or thinking about diy at least.
I'm a 3d cad designer designing and cnc milling aluminium enclosures. Mil spec below Decks computer equipment. So already have prices for led cobs from China and the power supply/control unit are not expensive, metal work and design manufacturing will be free oh and we sell fans as well? Thinking 6 x 100w cob to replace my 600w lights?

Well I've got a little usb fan directly blowing over my pumps as little as she does it helps ahah! Plus I've got an odd intake setup around my window that allows the cooler air to make its way in and right below that is the table bench with the pumps etc... the pumps do get quite warm! Nearly hot to the touch... but the water Temps if anything are prone to get too cool. The chronic gods are smiling upon me this grow :)
