hi ! any replies would be greatly appreciated

Been doing alot of research on growing hydroponically. This is basically what i am wanting to do and was wondering if anyone could give me any tips if this is a good idea and what will work good with a small system to be sucessfull..

I am probably going to go with a system that can grow about 4-6 plants...

www.ezhydrokit.com

they have a few systems on there that i think i could see myself using.
Since i want to start out small and just get my feet wet with the whole growing scene, what would you recommend me buying to start out... and a few tips on juss getting started and basic tips !!!!

please help me

sorry for being such a neewb

For what they are charging you could make a kit for 1/4-1/3 the price. I would recommend a bubble bucket setup since they are cheap, easy to make and work very well. Just search the forum for bubble bucket.
I would recommend going with CFLs (compact floros - curly looking things) for lighting until you decide to upgrade.

is there somewhere that i can buy a book or a good video to go buy step by step as i grow because i have the basic idea and have been doing alot alot of research on this but i still feel kinda blind as to when i actually start growing what to do .... im just nervous i wont do it right

Stay away from the NFT systems. They are hard to master for any beginner; i failed many crops before even getting a good method to proceed with! I hear the bubbleponics is the best and easiest set up. Also, MightyBuddah is right, it is much more cost effective to build your own system and then buy an awesome light.

Here's a really simple, inexpensive hydro system you can put together in about an hour with roughly $30 in parts. $30 is subjective to your local economy, of course; depending on where you happen to live the parts used in this system might cost a little more or a little less, but it's still far more economical than buying an identical setup from a fly-by-night internet store which might go for anywhere between $150 - $200 US Dollars.

Forum mods, please forgive me... I posted my tutorial on another website, here is the link:
