make sure you have a pest control method ready! i have lost some of my early grows to spider mites outdoors. theyre more controllable indoors of course.

you can mix a soil for much cheaper and be left over with ammendments to use in teas.

a base mix is equal volumes everything: compost, sandy loam, peat or coco, vermicastings,

i ammend bokashi and lime in my base mix. sometimes bone meal but infrequently since it lasts a while.

you then ammend with a full range organic NPK of stronger nutrients and trace elements for an adults mix. i wont tell you buy any specific thing because id advise you make everything as you live day to day.

Do some research on training and mold control. Also, fungus gnats are a very common problem unless you take preventative measures, I use the hot water if I see adult fungus gnats (hot water kills the larvae on top of soil, if its not too hot it wont hurt plant), and I also dry out the soil completely like once a month (you might lose a lot of microbiology but just replenish with AACT and molasses). Powdery mildew is also one of my worst nightmares, have to be real careful about not misting before the lights shut off.
