first time harvest

Ok so this will be my first time harvesting a plant, trainwreck, and im fuckin excited to say the least. I also dont wanna fuck it up haha. I've searched google and looked at a few posts but I just want to be 100% sure becuase I've ready 50 different things. what of the leafs do I clip and when? do I just cut the leaf down as close to the bud as possible and then clip stem and hang upside down? I'm still trying to get my head around curing I'm going to use the method thats in the sticky thread here to cure. Its says for beginners but It still confuses me haha.

Hey brooklyn, typically I cut off all the fan/non frosty leafs and toss them into a compost pile, I then cut all the frosty leafs flush to the bud and let them fall into a bowl that I use for hash or cooking later.

I like to hang my colas intact and then when it's mostly dry I cut the smaller nugs off to finish off drying before they get jarred. The curing sticky on here is good and once you get through your first harvest things get easier, good luck!
