I'm trying to grow some ww autos, I'm using 1000watt light 4 of them. Are these normal for 4 weeks?I thought they wouldn't get more than 2 feet total, but from what I can see and the rate they are growing ( about 1 1/2" a day) the biggest is 19" and the others 15-17. Just seems like they will be fairly big for autos. But i havent got a clue.
Idk it won't let me post pics as soon as I can i will

seems like you got some good ones but they will slow down most likely... if the genetics are good and you have a pot 5 gallons or bigger you should probably expect them to be around 40+ inches at finish. the only time an auto will stop at 2 feet these days is if they are in small pots, crappy genetics, or you somehow manage to F up an auto... just make sure they don't get too hot. some are more finicky for sure. i have 2 different strains only 4 days different in germination one is 19 inches and no spacing... the other is 31 inches plenty of spacing. 7 weeks in... I expect both will turn out well... competition and demand for autos has created better plants

They are in 3 gallon pots only cause all i read was figure 1 gallon per month of life. And after some investigating I found that 2 are early miss and 2 ww. I ask ck to send early miss if extras were gonna be sent looks like they did a half and half cause I gave 4 originally to my buddy then had to sell him 4 more cause I wont have the room. Lol

I'm going g to go out now and try to take fresh pic's and see if I can post them, my buddy said same thing. The early miss is my biggest one but from most pics ive seen of early miss are scrawled and don't yeild well. I have done no training no nutes just a fuck ton of hps light

Couldn't get pics to post, however I may have done something dumb! I couldn't resist giving the lower branches a chance to catch up so I bent (not broke) the tops far enough to be below the majority of the lower branches which exposed a significant amount of foliage and secondary branches that were getting less light. I have them under 2 1000watt HIP lights one hps and 1 mh only cause I have photo plants next to them vegging. But they seem to be horny about the combo. The lights are set to the highest setting my ballast will go. They are being powered by 2 phantom I I 1000watt ballast so I guess only time will tell. I haven't done any defoliating to them. Can't say the same about photos but very little not like last time not yet anyway. I do plan to with what happened last time still fresh in my mind so I will be way less aggressive with it.

It's all genetics baby... Good genes, gets you good results. I am currently growing 5 cheese autos by autodinafem, and they are currently standing at 76 inches. I shit you not. 5 gallon pots, all mix bio bizz, and bio bizz nute line. 400 watt hps. And some poles for support..

So I don't have any 5 gallon but I do however have 7 gallon pots that I use for my photos. The autos are 4 weeks today will I fuck em up if I switch them over to bigger pots? Will they have enough time to recover?

if you allow your soil to dry to the touch, give the sides of the pot a gently squeeze all around, catch the dirt ball carefully when it falls out and gently place it in your new pot, back fill, water... you'll be fine.

But, this likely wont matter at this stage, I'd leave them be if i were you

They look good huh

They look good to me man, a lot better than the autos I've got going right now at about 8 weeks. This is my first attempt with autos and none are over 8-10 inches, some are barely six. I was completely unprepared for how fast they would start flowering. All I've done before now have been photo period seeds or just old bag seeds in a thrown together attic grow. I'm gonna try again later with the seeds I had left but I'm definitely gonna do bigger pots next time. Mine stayed in solo cups wayyy too long and are stunted cause of it.

On a side note, I've got 4 White Widow, 2 Lemon OG Haze, 1 Ak 48 and a blue mystic. All from Nirvana. I planted 5 WW, 5 lemon og, 4 ak and 2 BD..... I'm a little disappointed, I'd heard how fast the ak grows and was looking forward to an early finish for them, unfortunately they wouldn't germ for shit, only had two pop and one of them died early on.

2 of the ww are tal and lanky with severely underdeveloped leaves.... any idea what could be causing this? The other ww are looking good other than being small but I'm thinking that's from my undersized potting.

Cheers man, yours look great to me

I have found in my 10 years, that autos do best with minimal help. A good, strong medium will be enough to get your girls to flower.. then depending on size, you adjust your flower nutrirent regime. If you get a stretchy genetic, it may need a little N boost, but generally speaking, autos don't get quite as big, as fast, so their roots haven't had time to find all the space in the pot before its time to switch feeds, therefore you're left with an over-abundance of nutrients, which can lead to a barrage of problems.

After checking them this morning it looks like the stretchy WW have leaves that aren't fully opening and look like little balls on the stem, could this be from nutes, low temp or did I just get shitty luck on the genetics? I'm leaning toward genetics cause the others all look great. I'm not sure if I should let them keep going or just cut my losses and clip them. I'm all out of bud and not gonna be buying anymore since my wife nutted up last time lol

Well for starters this is my first go with autos and only my second grow all together, but I was always told for autos it's best to put them directly in whatever they will be growing in, not start them like photos. They say that if you figure 3 months

Did you purchase feminized seeds? Cause traditionally males strech more than females do if they are 3-4 weeks and have little balls instead of white pistols get it out!!!! Cause if it's a male your gonna have a shit ton of seeds in the rest of your crop. Unless ofcourse you want to have a steady supply of the strain. In that case take that one out and take 1 female out and keep the seperate for the rest, and I mean in a completely seperate room. That way you save the others and you get to not have tto buy any auto seeds for a long time. But you will have to sex every crop. Males either kill em or do the other i just told you. You will still get to smoke the pollinated female full of seed and you will most likely still get stoned.

Oh yeah man, these are feminized autos. I'm positive they're females. The pistils are very much showing but there's def something wrong cause it's not seed balls. I've got about 4-5 grows under my belt and already pulled two bag seed males out when they showed their sex. The leaves literally are looking like balls but slowly uncurling.

I went ahead and chopped them last night and smoked a bowel, while very much wet and not ready I was high as fuck from that one bowel and so were the other two people smoking with me. The trichomes were not amber yet and mostly clear but it hit us like a truck so at least I've got some to dry out til the beauties get finished.

Gonna try and upload a few shots, maybe they'll work.

I actually kept a NYPD male to make seeds my last grow but only found two in the entire crop. Think I cut his ass too early before the pollen sacks were mature. I bagged the sacks up so as not to fuck up my whole crop but it didn't really take on the plant I tried to pollinate.

Anyways. Still learning and listening for any tips. I actually already had the grow bible downloaded off Amazon and have looked through it quite a bit and learned so much. Just being too lazy to look for my specific symptoms, mainly I'm just letting them do their thing and trying to water/feed/provide light and keep the temps right. I ph my water but it's all over the place at times. So far I've done ok just intrigued by these autos. It's my first attempt at autos and the strains so I'm just feeling my way through.

It never got the chance lol, I got impatient and smoked part of her ass last night, caught a good high from it so I know the trichomes were doing good at least. What do you think could be causing the cupping of the leaves in the last pic? Maybe heat or light stress or is it a nute problem?
