Currently I am germinating my first grow. Several seeds wrapped into a paper towel. I've been into horticulture for a while, and have hella housplants and I've read all of the experienced growers threads. Also, I've read some of the threads about kids living with parents. I live with my dad and he is cool with it all, in fact encouraging it. Hopefully it will all turn out well.

After germination I had 4 seeds that popped. I planted 3 in a gallon pot each, and overnight 1 of the 3 sprouted. I inherited tons of seeds from a friend so this summer I could possibly build a greenhouse. I want to post pictures of my setup soon and hopefully I will find the time.

My friend didn't die. She's been a long time smoker and has collected tons of seeds. I traded her a bit of bud for her seeds, I'm sure to have tons of middy seeds but then again she also smokes the red hairs too. I'm ignorant to the types, strands and genetics of these particular plants but I do know that if I were to grow a lot of red hair I'd be in good shape : ).

This is my fan set-up, complete with on-off switch, and rheostat to control the amount of flow. I haven't installed it yet.

Then this is my grow room. I coated the walls with tin foil. The spacey blue light is from an aquarium, I hung it with hemp. It is extremely ghetto the set-up I have so far, I do have 2 regular fluorescent lights and the aquarium light on. But when they get taller I have another light over top.

And these babies are my sprouts. The first and most clear is my star. It sprouted first and so far has been most responsive to the lights and waterings. Hopefully it is a female. The other two were a day behind it and the last pot I didn't even take a picture of because it hasn't sprouted yet.

P.S. The plants tend to bend towards the blue light. I guess they like it the best. Although they do seem closer spacially to the flourscent light hung on the wall.

Sounds like you have it under control. You may want to install at least a couple of electric circuits in there so you can split the load and install some timers. Remember safer is better. Especially if you are going to use HID's at some point.
You might also want to consider Mylar instead of aluminum foil. Aluminum foil can cause 'hot spots', and that ain't good.
