Been absolutely killing it at shasta and whiskeytown(kokes)
Going back out to shasta for them limits of huge bows thursday again.

Loaded up with more of the best producing combos from last thursday.
This is the pre-sun up combo that worked best. UV/glow combo with the hook swapped out for a gamakatsu treble hook of course, 3.5' leader.

This was the go to dodger we attracted the most with after the sun cam up. Just straight UV. Followed behind were some other cripplures and humdingers in chad pattern, all equally hooked up.

80-120' down.
All 3-6lb bows
A few of the fish have some copepods, but not bad.

Sounds like yer boss might be a bit of a cajun.
Add some taters, onions + Andouille sausage and you might just entice Mrs. GWN to the party cause she's 100% Coon Ass.

Sounds like a blast! Never been Salty Fishing before... it's a bucket lister for me to catch a nice flounder, Sailfish, Tuna, and of course, Tarpon one day. Also, Brazilian Peacock Bass, but that's freshwater, of course. Closest I've come to Saltwater fishing was a 36.5", 18.17# (official scales) Hybrid Striper Bass in 1999. Matched the Virginia state record for length, and would have tipped the scales on a new record of 20+ # had the fight not emptied her eggs...

Report on the trip on the weekend of the 20th to come... Phone went in the river! I DON'T automatically "cloud" anything as that gave us a huge data bill on an upgrade once... never again.

This was fishing in some lakes nearby for trout ;-)
Although usually right now i'd be all about the chinooks in the rivers nearby here, i've been having too much of a blast trolling for trout and kokanee gotta stay after them.

If i lived closer to the ocean, i'd be out there right now for sure though.

Oh, I see... lol you can tell I haven't fished for trout or salmon much (just once, actually)... had a brainfart thinkin' you were in the ocean... in my defense, it's kinda easy to do, lookin' at them big, 'ol spoons!
