Damn! That is one monster ling. I catch them every year and never even saw one approach yours! My best was an 17 pounder and seen a 30 pounder. Is the flesh green in your parts? It can be here, not harmful or different tasting, just interesting

Holy Cod!​ That thing is HUGE!

Is that the Loch Ness Monster? Oh my Cod.

Truth be told I didn't catch that fish - but I have gotten a few that go above 60 lb.

We were having fun with a school of sea bass but had to leave because the ling cod kept hammering our fish as we tried reeling up! This was Alaska ..

They are still enormous fish though bro , 60 lb !
The biggest fish i have caught is a 40 lb eagle ray , 20 lb portjackson shark , then it's all down hill from there .

Caught the fish of a lifetime and threw her back. We had tried eating a bass the night before and it was gamey tasting, so I didn't have the heart to kill it. We were renting with a 14 acre pond and dude said no one ever fished there, so I knew she was there. Got a big frog lure, threw it over 100 times before she bit, but when she did, I knew she was over 10 pounds. Almost the length of the oar, which was 30 inches. Memories

This was one big eel i caught , don't know what it's weight was but it was heavy !

They are great eating joe , not when they are that big though , we did try it and it was to fatty.
A bit smaller and they are very tasty , you gut them , then skin them (tha's a real pain sometimes ,
give them a good clean , chop into pieces (i go aboat 10cm long) roll them in seasoned flour ,
then fry those bad boys up untill golden and delicous .

Too many things to do today for a few years and I miss camping and fishing.

My state has a licence free day of fishing each year and I'm gonna try to get out that day.

I havn't done it for a couple of years my self , i'll get back into it soon .

I think I only went twice last year both in a pretty big oxbow pond though with nice bass.
