Common sense tells me gloss would be better for room color. But I constantly keep reading "flat" white.
Anyone know why?

People say that because flat paint reflects a few percentage points more of light.
(Here is a little secret though, paint it whatever kind of white your heart desires, it doesn't matter in the end. 873 other factors will have more of a bearing on your yield.)
