Flat white paint keeps chipping off the interior of my rubber maid grow box.

I've tried sanding it and did up to 7 even coats of krylon flat white spray paint and, in fact, it's even worse now
. I have huge peels of paint in the interior of my box. I tried looking for krylon fusion paint at home depot and lowe's but they didn't have any in flat white. Any advice?

if its peeling then you'll have to get the fusion paint or other plastic bonding paint.

i just used reg krylon flat black for my pvc light traps no chips yet.... i also grabbed a flat white just in case i felt like redoing my current rubbermaid by painting a new one. guess i wasted 6 bucks for that white if its gonna peel

on my last visit to the hardware store, they only had satin white and gloss white for krylon fusion, will that still work as well as flat white?

yea they didnt have flat white or black in the fusion when i went so i just grabbed the regs knowing it might not work well.

flat white is the best, but if you have to you can use the gloss or other white. its still white so its better than not using it

next time ask them if they have it in the back they should have it stocked. i they dont see when they should get new shipments.

This thread is pretty old but what worked for me was a coat of automobile primer(meant for metal) but it bonded well to the sanded plastic then a couple coats of black then I applied some flat white ceiling paint with a paint roller and this worked for me

Go to walmart and go to the camping acc aisle.
Buy one or two $4 emergency blankets.
Tape glue or whatever right over the peeling paint.
Taa daaa
