Flowering a seedling

Hey,
I'm just wondering how long i have to veg after i've planted my seeds before i can start flowering.

I know tht about 6 nodes is fine (i want them small) .... but is this for seedlings or clones??

Sorry if its a dumb question but i would realli appreciate any help.

They say that the plant is ready when the plants nodes grow uneven. In other words the branches shoot from the stem 1 side at a time instead of 2 at the same time.

ya you can always keep topping it and getting a short bush of a plant. dont flower as a seedling it will never hold up those buds
