I worked with a Brazilian about 5-7 yrs ago who brought his hometown strain, what he called "gold haze", back with him. Like nothing I've ever had from around here. I found a couple beans in his bag and grabbed them. Popped one a few years ago and it was a duplicate of what he had. I'm sitting on one more, waiting to dedicate a whole tent to it. Hopefully it's a girl.Oh yeah! Those southern Mexican and Columbian strains we planted....Then came the, Skunk and Orange hair, the main N.Cali triangle staples of the early "Sensi" years. Hawaiian's came over in "The case of can's" and we had a fit of joy over a seed in a #10 can of "Maui Flake Coconut".
Heady years.....Panama Red, Gold Bud, Acapulco Gold, Punt Roja. Buying lids for $10......OH I wish there was Panama Red still.
LOL... a buddy of mine always said that Sativa's are INDOOR plants (We are smack in the Midwest... SW Lower MI) and Indica's are outdoor... for that very reason. Not sure that can even apply, nowadays...Yes, the only problem with the equatorial strains was it was hard to get them to finish before the snow flew here in the midwest.
Yes, but back then we grew with what we could get and there wasn't a lot of options for growing indoors. I still have quite a few old 400 watt parking lot lights that were converted to grow lights from the mid to late 80's.LOL... a buddy of mine always said that Sativa's are INDOOR plants (We are smack in the Midwest...
