ok fellow roll it uppers.....my plant has been flowering for almost 4 weeks now and some of the pistils are starting to turn orange and some aren't. it seems to be hapening only to the main colas and not the side ones. is this normal and should i do something diferent. i just yesterday mixed up a batch of cha ching for use during late flowering. will this help slow the process of the pistils drying up? help me out folks it doesn't make sense. i figured it would be atleast 8 weeks.

ok if this respose gets mixed up... i'm high as hell on some butter

i'm assuming the plant is from bag seed? and most all strains mature at different times... pistils turning red at 4 weeks is normal, since your original growth is giving wqay to new growth, in my exprience with bag seed 6 weeks flowering before i even phantom the thought of flushing... usually like you said the top colas are ripening faster than the bottoms... simply after flushing for at least a week chop the top colas... and leave the bottom colas for a 2 part harvest....

on a side note when i double harvest a plant i go ahead and let the bottom mature for a longer time until the tricombs are 95% amber with a little milky tricombs left... this stuff i give to my girlfriend, sister and other female friends for their cramps during their time of the month. the amber tricombs seem to have a little more body effects and pain relieving qualities...

pic one top cola ripe and ready before (7 weeks)...pic 2 the bottom half (the plant in the left corner)
