flushing and PH question

While testing runoff from flushing I have found that my PH is around 6.0, I have been using water adjusted to 7.0, is 6.0 too low for my plants and if so what should I do to raise it? Should I continue to flush till it rises or what? My tap water is 7.2 on the dot.

i have the problem of slightly acidic tap water. rather than adjust my pH or worry about soil - which often becomes slightly acidic - i buffer the soil with dolomite lime to compensate for it. promix already has it in there, but i just mix it up when I plant. If you're feeding it balanced water, I think you should probably be fine. Ideal is around 6.5, but the water may be pulling out fertilizer that makes it slightly acidic.

Dig out a small chunk of soil from under the surface - abou the depth of some roots - and drop it into a small glass with your pH balanced water. Let it sit for a moment and then pH test it. See whatcha get. This is a more accurate indicator of what conditions are like up in there.
