Flushing and short term nutrient deficiencies

Hi guys, my soil became a bit hot for my girls, so I flushed it with canna. Straight after this, the bottom leaves went yellow and died. Was this nutrient deficiency as I only followed it up with water for a week?

I'm impressed if the flushing cleans the soil this well.

They look great again now I've picked up the feeds.

Cheers !!

Peace out.

I don’t know what canna is but flushing in soil is usually pointless. The idea of clean soil boggles my mind. You might as well grow in coco or soiless medium of some sort if you really like using bottled nutrients and fancy name brand “flushing agents”. It’s all a scam

But to your question it’s imposiible to say if you had s nutrient deficiency without pictures or a bit of information on your soil and your general practices. True living organic soil will provide perfect plant nutrition for years without any additives or bottles nutrients. Soil can’t just be flushed. The organic matter. Nutrients and minerals can take years to be broken down by the micro herd.

Cheers Green machine.

It was Canna flush that I used, and it claims not to harm the micro heard. I can confirm that organic nutrients can, and do work very well. I'm always keen to learn though.

Lots of ways to skin a cat. Lol. Yes I’m not saying a bottled nutrient regime doesn’t work. That’s how I used to grow. Just from your post I wasn’t sure if your soil was hot from being built organically. Most people in organics go for high compost complete nutrition soil. Done right start to finish water only. I can share some recipes if you like.

Yes please pal, if you could. I'm in the UK though, so not everything is available/equivalent here.

I made a decent base soil, but I think the seaweed meal started to cook the girls after about 3 weeks. All sorted now. That's what worries me about all ins. If it's not bang on, it's hard to fix.
