"Flushing" Hempies

I know that you usually don't flush them. But today it dawned on me that I used too much nutes on my VERY tiny seedlings the last two times by mistake.

The seedlings are not growing as fast as I like and giving too much nutes (GH Trio) is probably one reason.

So today I "flushed" them (sort-of) with ph-ed tap water to get most of the nutes out and dumped the water.

When should I give the correct amount of nutes now? Should I wait til the perlite/vermi is dry again, like a day or two...or should I give them right now? (Eg. recommended dose 2.5ml GH nutes per L, for seedlings). Obviously the perlite/vermiculite is all soaked now with the water. Just worried that a day with not enough nutes or so might kill them. For those pots I also made the mistake to possibly put them into bigger containers too early, the roots haven't really grown from the rockwool. The seedlings are about 1", very tiny 1st set of real leaves. Should I maybe not give any nutes at all to promote root growth? (At this time I don't water the pots a lot, just somewhat with a turkey baster each two days or so)

*** The other plants in my hempies are doing great...it's just a few which I should have left in the rockwool longer I guess. Haven't seen any growth in several days really with those seedlings.

Seeds have enough nutrients to last two weeks and then you have the soil nutrients. Just let your plant grow for a couple more weeks before adding anything. Flushing is going to stress a plant that young. Then start with 1/4 strength nutrients every other watering or 1/3 every third watering until plants established better.

Haha welcome to the club, I don't think i've ever had a plant grow fast enough for me. I've never grown hempy so I cant answer your questions, but in the hydro forum, drain to waste sub forum is a sticky "world of hempy" that could probably help you out with some info.

you shouldn't use nutes for the first 2 weeks, then start with 1/4 strength

just let your hempy dry out before feeding again....it won't kill it to go without nutes for a few days

BTW....below is a link to a grow called "KISS my Hempy"....you may find some helpful hints

post some pic's of your hempy
