Which LED brands can be trusted?
There are many more brands of LED grow lights, and a lot of them are great, but I’m only listing brands that I personally know for certain will work well for growing cannabis. These LED grow lights have actually been tested and given the seal of approval by real cannabis growers.
  • Galaxyhydro LED Grow Lights (breakdown of best models for growing cannabis)
  • Kind LED Grow Lights (breakdown of best models for growing cannabis)
  • Advanced Platinum Grow Lights (breakdown of best models for growing cannabis)
As far as I am concerned I prefer Galaxy hydro than other LED grow light. GalaxyHydro LED are relatively new on the market compared to some of the other popular brands, but they produce consistently good results with growing cannabis. I've only included models before that have gone through extensive testing, though the company does offer bigger and smaller LED grow lights, as well as different form factors.

So let's narrow that list down a bit;
The first one is crap.
The second one is crap.
And the third one is, yep you guessed it, crap.

But it's your lucky day! Some of the best work in the field of horticultural lighting is being done by RIU members turned vendors. Have a peek around and you'll find that you can take a few hundred dollars worth of parts and assemble them into a light that's more efficient, has better spectrum and runs cooler than anything listed above- and your dollars go at least twice as far, usually much further.

Think of it like this; imagine you wandered into a tuner shop and asked which was faster; Ford, Chevy or Dodge- only to discover a bunch of guys finishing up under the hood of a twin turbo Lamborghini... that they'll sell you for a fraction of the price and they didn't even steal it first!
