So im at week 3 and transplanted week 2. Clearly they shouldn't need any nutes yet, but should I expect to feed them? Mabe week 8? I know fox farm can be hot and had problems with giving to much nutes in the past. Anybody have experience with this soil and there nutes? When I do start using nutes 1/4-1/2 dose is recommended as well correct for autoflowers?

Happy frog is starter soil, not nutrient rich. Will be depleted in another 2 weeks.
This is great for synthetic feed with photos when I start with nutes I know they are only getting what I give them.
Don't use fox farm nute line sorry
3 weeks since sprout?
You're almost done with your veg time and missed your opportunity to maximize your veg growth and I would start low doses of K to prep for bloom this week or next
3 weeks since planted then you got another week or 2 to pump up your N, S for some size boost

I planted in small pot with fox farm for week 1-2, then I transplanted to 3 gallon containers with fox farm soil. Week 4 starts Friday. I'm also not growing photos, I'm growing autoflowers, more sensitive to nutes.

What I'm telling you is
1 Happy frog is low nutrient and will not adequately feed a mature plant of any kind
2 there is no point in you using your growth boosters since you are basically out of veg time

I give my autos low doses starting day one and jack them up as fast as I think the plant can handle it

Was that even the question?

Isn’t that the same picture from your other thread saying they don’t look bad?
He's telling me to jack the nutes up, and im saying I had issues in the past with that. So im asking when would be a good time. I can't just take one guys opinion. I can show close up of my plants as well. The leaf color is what ypu try to follow. I'm no expert, but I have had successful grows. All I'm doing is asking questions and learning.

sometimes, less is more, dont be in such a rush to blast them with as much food as you can, i get great growth useing half strength ferts every feeding.
it's not ideal, but wait till you see the large fan leaves starting to turn yellow or getting pale green, then feed

I don't know how to explain your previous over feeding. I don't do a lot of autos so I'm no expert.
I have always run happy frog. I know it will feed the babies long enough to build a stalk and after I am in complete control of feed.

Your plants do not look bad but only the one on the left is big enough that I would not be upset if it triggered tomorrow the rest look like my outdoor autos that do not get anywhere near enough sun. And your tops are coming in crinkly and with dark vains tells me they are already low on something.

Next round try starting with like a 5% feed from germination and build th em up very slowly. If you have nute burn just run a flush and dial back to the pervious weeks level. Last time I didn't give autos veg feed I wound up with 2oz plants

You gave good advice. Thanks. Ya so far they don't look bad. I got to watch the tips for nute burn. In the past I had issues with over doing nutes. These guys are saying tobgo crazy with nutes, but from my experience I got to be careful. What are your growing autos or photos?

I usually get like 3-4oz. I haven't done it in 2 years Tho. So kind of fresh. Ya autos are more sensitive to nutes. What I'm trying to figure out is how long fox farm happy frog lasts. If I transplanted on week two, that means it's been in fresh nute rich soil for a week. So ya. Just worried adding nutes to quickly will cause issues. My plants are all different strains. They grew at all different speeds for some weird reason. There's only one that is not up to par with the rest, and I have one that is doing extremely well. That was from the beginning tho.

3-5 weeks. If you want to finish with just happy frog and no synthetics I would probably want to top feed 1/2gal a week. But I would use something much richer once 3rd week into flower after stretch finished.

So your saying not give nutes until around 3-5 weeks have gone by from transplanting correct? So week 5-7 is when to start adding nutes at around 1/2 dose? Im using synthetic. The fox farm trio

Something like that.
Since you just uppotted and your close to their flip I would just wait til their stretch is done and go straight to your bloom mix. That's the time when they are the most hungry and your the least likely to over feed.

Biggest reasons I like to start nutes early is so that I can build them up slowly to prevent any shock, any nute burns are minor, and I'm less likelyto throw my ph way off.
Full feed on my nute line is like 33ml/gal I don't think I ever go above 24 and
Even in the early stages the bottle suggests 12 and I start with 4 and take 6-7 weeks to build up to 20ish. I go slower with my photos bc I find it safer and I'm in control of the flip. I go faster with autos bc I'm not in control of the flip and need to make the most of every day in veg

Don't you burn them tho of your using nutes straight out of the gate? Are you using coco? If so that makes sense. Using nutes to early tho in soil can be terrible.

I have only grown in happy frog mixed with extra perlite indoors. It's environmental training, just like any kind of training most effective when started young and done slowly. By introducing contaminates early in low doses I'm less likely to have an adverse affect later. Yes I sometimes get burns, but I know when to look for that and it is an easy fix. I just flush and back down my levels for another week. If a low dose of nute kills them when they are a week old those lady's would give me all sorts of trouble later on anyways and I saved a headache. Your lady's have been drinking clean tap water during their youth and now once they reach maturity your going to introduce heavy salts and direct water feedings at 1/2 doses what's that like 15ml/gal? It takes me 5 weeks to get up to those levels.
