also its say, to use 4 tbs of BB, I was told 1-2 tbs was good enough, seems to be working for me. I dunno does anyone actually use the 4 whole heaping TBS out there?

also FFOF is no good for clones? damn i was thinking of using it for my clone dome, instead of running out and getting rapid rooter/growplugs w/e?

what about the bloom fertilizers, can you get away with only useing one of em? I got cha-ching i heard its really potent.

i've heard lots of peps say not to use ffof for clones/ seedlings, but i have been doing so for a couple of years, with no issues.. just don't feed them ontop of the soil for a good three or so weeks, and you should be golden

Lightwarrior is specifically for seedlings/clones. It only feeds for a week but it is inoculated with microbes. I haven't used it for the purpose yet, I use rapid rooters and they work well.

Damn so that is a good deal? How many plants does this last for? Any idea how much a bag of fox farm soil costs?
I also paid $20 for a gigantic bag of ocean forest - it filled all 4 of my three gallon pots and cost just as much as the standard garden store's soil. I think their soil is a lot better priced than any other soil and its top shelf and its got the nutes you need in it. I did the math and also deicded buying the ocean soil cost less than it would have had I bought the seperate components of their mix seperatly and mixed my own. If you can't afford/decide between buying the foxfarm ocean forest soil or the nutes buy the good soil. That's how I started and it took me a long way and made a big difference.

The nutes will last a loooong time too and you can probably find smaller bottles online. I have the 32oz bottles (think 3 soda cans=36oz) and use only a few spoonfuls every 1-2 weeks. I just started the regiment so can't say how long that will last on my, now, 3 plants (one was a male) but I imagine I won't have to buy any more nutes for a year with a continual year-round grow of 4 plants at a time.

I may find an alternate to their tiger bloom after reading advice on this forum next year. We'll see...

Grodan mini blocks for clones: http://lovelandhydroponics.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.v2.tpl&product_id=738&category_id=20&keyword=grodan&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=62

There are 45 blocks in total, great for your dome and once they've rooted you can sink them into the FFOF. As for 4tbs I just started using BB today and used the 4tbs mix -- oops! We will see what happens after a couple days...

thanks everyone,

I don't think BB will necessarily burn your plants or over fertilize, I just think you'll run out quickly, and have to buy another bottle.

Nullis - I don't think my local hydro store carries "light warrior" I'm really trying to avoid going there, not that I don't want to, but its just a far drive.

you are correct. i have used big bloom full strength on 2 week old plants with nothing but positive effects. my grow shop doesn't carry light warrior either so i use happy frog. it's got mycorrhizae and humic acid which is really good for rooting. it's a bit hotter than the light warrior but it's never burned any plants of mine and they always show signs of def around week 2 so i shoot 'em with the big bloom.
