Fresh Air Intake Problems =P

So im helping a friend set up a grow room, and im having some problems with the design he has in mind. The grow room is in a trailor, in one room, roughly 10x10. Weve already set up a good exhaust, throwing the air straight outside after it passes through a carbon filter (he doesnt have any neighbors anyway).

Now for the fresh air intake, hes wanting to cut straight through the floor and have a few fans pull fresh air from underneath the trailor (using multible fans so he can provide fresh air to different parts of the room). Its a good idea, but ive got two major concerns with it.

1.) In spring/summer, im afraid spider mites or other insects will easily get in through his intake. To solve this we thought about using silk mesh, bug bombing a few times before we actually install the intake, and spraying a circle of insecticide (I know,) around the trailor every so often. This may work, but im just not sure.

2.) In winter the air from outside is going to be damn cold, often dropping into the teens here (single digits every once in a blue moon). Ive tried explaining to him that this cold air will really stress his plants, and I dont think the heat produced from the light and plants would be enough. Just not sure how to counteract this problem, so any ideas there would be helpful.

Thanks for any advice in advance guys.

EDIT: Weve considered running the intake air into another room, and then from there venting it into the grow room (so the fresh air temperature stabilizes in the winter/summer), but this would be alot of work for us. And he doesnt really have a spare room to do this with, so I think he would have to box off part of his room for this purpose. Seems like a huge hassle lol. Were looking for something a bit more simple.
