I have bad the worst time with timers since I started growing. The first one I got was digital from walmart. I set it up like it said and the damn thing didnt work. I took it back and they didnt have another one so I got one that rotates in a circle to keep track of the time. It didnt work so I took it back and said fuck walmart. I went to lowes and got one of the same style and it cant keep time worth a fuck. I set it up to come on at 6 am and off at 6 pm. The time wont even stay right for a whole 24 hours. FUCK IM PISSED. Im tired of having to worry about my timer. What type and where did you guys get yours?

Bought a couple of GE timers... the simple one where you just push down on the circle the time that you want it to be on...works great... bought 5 for $3 a piece before National Wholesale Liquidators went under...

$188 and worth every penny

Combines 2 main timing functions in one convenient package.
Control lighting schedules with 24-hour time lock.
Integrated digital recycling timer can operate daytime, nighttime or 24 hours a day.
Digital recycling ON & OFF times can be programmed in hours, minutes and seconds.
The HI-Temp shutdown feature allows the user to set a maximum temperature. In the event of overheating, the MDT-1 will shut off the lighting. If overheating event happens, the unit logs the max temperature and the time it occurred.
Hot start prevention monitors the incoming power and will disable the HID lights in the event of a power failure. After a user selectable delay, the HID lamps are permitted to re-start.

Look at noma products, work good 23 bucks I think. Not to hard to figure out, if you can work a computer you can program one of these.

A word of caution on the Sentinel MDT-1:

There was a recall on last years models. Mine was acting up and took it in the shop I purchased at. They sent it back to factory in Asia along with a pallet of others and I still haven't gotten it back (six weeks later).

I was told that they brand new ones have the bug worked out.

In the meantime the Hydrofarm dual outlet works flawlessly and cost $20.00. turn off the lights and the inline exhaust at the same time. Not sure if I'll even hook the MDT back up when and if I ever get it back.
