all day yesterday was spent preparing to harvest some of my plants. The girls that were off property and part of my guerilla grow are all infested with "Mealy Bugs" & "Scales". What a fucking job!!! It took three hours to clean just one five foot girl! I also threw away close to two ounces alone from that plant. Buds that those Mealy Bugs were just to deeply in bedded got trashed(actually thrown on compost bin). Now today is raining hard in Puna and I got more plants that need to be harvested. Guess I'll be busting out the 'Poncho' real soon? In some ways I enjoy this hard rain. It allows me the blend in with the background. Making it hard for the occasional passerby to see me or anything from their car in the pouring rain.
Plus my short season plants are coming along fine too. At 7 weeks these bastards are already four feet tall and two weeks into budding already?!?! They all look quite beautiful except one fermale. She has decided that she wants to be a "Tranny". I noticed the tell tale sign of the yellow Hermie flower on the main bud. I will move her to a secure location where my guerilla grow use to be. Hermie seeds are almost 85% to 90% female upon next grow. But they are a hassle too. If I had high end seeds I just throw them away. But I don't, so I got get seeds some how?
I have included a few pics from yesterday's chores. The pic of young plants was next gen at 4 wks. A pic of a 5 gallon bucket with Buds in it. another pic of my grow room closet with buds hanging, and other buds drying on trash bags.
The last pic is my "Ace in the Hole". It's priceless in this semi-tropical climate. I picked up this dehumidifier a few months back at "Home Depot" As important as growing is. To me it's more important to have your drying down. It could mean all the difference between a good crop and a bad crop! Plus I'm able to keep mold out of my life during drying! With the rain today, this toy will come in handy to prevent mold from taking over my freshly clipped buds. In no time at all my dehumidifier will collect about two gallons of water in the air on days like this. I highly recommend that anybody who lives & grows in Hawaii must own one of these.
