Fyfe, super, both of you, naughty stool, NOW. Grow up, both of you.

As for your problem of getting seeds to germinate, Makesi - It's a lot easier to germinate them in a wet paper towel inside a sealed plastic bag. Give them two-four days, they'll be open with root tips exposed, ready for soil planting.

BTW I'm a real Hort. Sci. teacher - you're not going to find any better advice from ANYONE ELSE. Especially not little boys who like to toss up middle fingers.
you can use the towel method or do it the oh natural way, there's no right and wrong way to do it. i may stop giving advice. seems you get bashed on for giving advice now a days.

Just because your a hort teacher dont mean ANYONE ELSE. wont know more than you, the dont teach you growth of marijuana in teacher school.

its an experience game were all playing. not having a go fyi.

Actually, the Cannabis Cultivation degree taught here in California is part of the Hort. Sci. requirements. It's also a requirement in Vermont and New Hampshire as of last year.

Enjoy the link. Maybe you'll sign up and get a degree, too.

Well, you could do like the poor guy in the urine thread and try germinating your seeds in a paper towel soaked in urine. ;)

Thanks for all the help guys!! The buds I flipped where under 1000 watt. So your saying I'll be fine if I keep them in a newspaper for a few days? How can I get best results? What procedure should I use? I'll upload some pics

Don't germ seeds in a newspaper. Too many chemicals and inks and whatnot present in the paper. Paper towel or toilet paper.

What I do is take germed seeds, put them in their starter container, then give water and cover with saran wrap or press n seal, to keep moisture in and make a miniature grow environment for the seedling. Very reliable, very effective.

That reminds me, I have 6 seedlings going right now that I should check up on!

with those CFL lights, you will need to flower very early. even though those are higher power then regular cfl, the penetration of the light is marginal at best. id say switch to 12/12 when they get to 8-10 inches. keep in mind, most indoor grows only yield .5 grams per watt of light, and i think that is with HIDs too. if i were you, i would buy 3 more of those CFL's, and make sure they are of the "cooler" temperature variety. i also see in your pictures that your CFL is hanging vertically. thats bad. CFL's produce the most light on the side of the spiral, so lay it down flat over the plants and get a reflector, and you will have maybe 3 times the light hitting those plants.

remember bro, there is no such thing as too much light. how many watts per plant is a personal choice, but i like 100 watts per plant or more for nice bushy plants and a heavy yield. in my setup, i do about 4 plants under each 400 watter.

nice job on fixing the light, your plants will thank you for it. one quick question though, when you say you got a shade for the light, what do you mean? like a lamp shade? just to make sure, when i say get a reflector, i mean something shiny that will reflect the light back down towards the plants instead of having it shine on your ceiling. aluminum works really good. heres a picture of a home made reflector that i crafted from those disposable 3 dollar aluminum baking pans you see at vons...
