https://secure.megawatthydro.com/en/nutrients-supplements/organic/humecca-1-liter--63104

i am using pro mix bx with sea compost and extra perlite in it

i often see on the web that promix is considered soilless and refer to use the feeding chart for hydroponic

the guy at the grow show told me to use the dosage on the bottle for SOIL not hydroponic .

i am a little confuse now lol

i did the search button but about fulvic and humic acide but didnt find a short answer !????

humic acid when to begin and when to stop
fulvic acid when to begin and when to stop

considering both product i just bought

on the bottle they say opposite things if you use it in soil versus hydroponic

thank you very much all of you for the good infos that is found here at ROLLITUP

Treat the pro mix as soil.

Pretty much, ANY bagged or peat based mix is soiless since it contains no actual soil (like from the backyard).

We still call it soil because of the organic material it contains, like peat, or coir, compost ect.

Hydro 'soiless' is usually inert stuff like, rockwool, growrocks, straight perlite, etc.

Make a bit more sense?

I think what's more important is you need to understand what the products do, and why are you using them in the first place, not just buying them because they are part of an amendment line.

here is a video that should help you understand plant nutrition a little bit better (and product usage), so you can make your own best educated guesses with what to do with the products you have.

yes you need to watch your ph when watering in. and honestly, when i was bottle feeding, once i learned a little bit about what was going on chemically in the "soil" i found that my sunshine did not contain enough dolomite lime. by the end of flower, it was all completely dissolved and my Ph was plummeting into the lower 5s and sometimes upper 4s! Peat naturally drives acidity down and once the buffer (dolomite lime) is gone, it just keeps going down. When i started adding dolomite to the mix my ph stayed 6.8ish the entire grow and my harvests were INSANELY bigger/better.

when you water in a 6.0-6.5 ph (which is target range usually) you dissolve lime every time you water. i liked to water as often as possible when i was feeding from bottles so i would aim to have mature plants drying up and requiring water every other day, literally. by the 3-4th week of flower they NEEDED water every other day and my lime was disappearing (until i understood what was happening and corrected it).

it really ticks me off when i hear the growstore guys saying there is "too much lime" in those peat/perlite mixes they sell because it's so untrue for the most part. It's enough for a little while. Also you need to realize the the "grow store guys" often have little (if any) education in the science of what is actually going on in soils, chemistry, and in plants. at least the stores i visit this is the case.

also the companies that make these products tell you to use them far more often than you actually need to. they just want you to buy more so you use it up faster. The bottle is just suggestive applications, they're not set in stone.

sorry i'm just rambling now....

just finish listening to the videos
thanks a lot for it . very appreciated .
a lot of interesting infos

thanks too for the ph infos . i will stop to reach for 5.8 and go for 6.0-6.5

i will begin with what is on the bottle for dosage of fulmecca and humecca.

how much DOLOMITE LIME do you add to your soil? . i have one unopened bag of this .

when i was at the grow shop he showed me HOUSE OF GARDEN products . seems nice but very very expensive for my needs imho .

i told him i didnt want nova flora and house of garden was too expensive for me so he showed me this line of nutriment that is GREEN GOLD .

IT IS SAD THEY DONT make feeding chart like othe nutrients company does . would be easier when you begin with their products

the seller didnt tell me it was organic .it is new to me .willling to try it and learn but on the down side it is smelly .

if it goes well i will continue with all my vegetables and fruits outdoor .

i really like a lot growing stuff !!! anything especially new things

my latest exprerience was to grow MIMOSA PUDICA but that is another thread i will post in the right section soon .

tomorrow will begin my watering with their stuff. i am in early flowering now .

everything is going well so far except i found a male .....................was supposed to be auto feminized lol

thanks again !!!

if you have other ideas or infos that i could use please share it with me .

A 1/4 cup per 5 gal should take care of your soil ph. Really organic bottled products are no different than any other set of nutes. Water in between 6-6.5ph and dont overfeed, just give the plant what it needs and it'll let you know when its not happy!

And i didnt look at your nute line so i dont know how "organic" it really is. Theres always a line of grey when it comes to that kinda stuff.

Many of us here build our soils from scratch. We know every ingredient in the mix. Raw amendments that get broken down slowly by biological lifeforms. This lets the plants take what they want when they want it and grow themselves, and we just give plain water all the time. No ph'ing or anything!

Good luck with the grow, and beware of the grow store donkeys. Just cause they work there doesnt mean they know whats up lol.
