1) i read they reproduce in soil; would they also reproduce in a hydroponics net pot with hydroton balls/rockwool?
2) i read mosquito dunk solution will help; what about a product called no planaria? i used it on a 20gallon aquarium to murder a bladder snail infection; would it be safe for plants and kill gnats too???

Heres my defense setup agains those haters!
1. sticky traps around water areas.
2. Azra max I spray inside around mediums after waterings.
3. Fly traps from HD. They stink a few days but work great for gnats!

You have declare war on them as soon as you see one! They already have before you even saw them lmao.

ok cool. they dont seem to be feeding on the plant material. do they fuck up the roots or something? aside from them just being shitty and annoying whats the big downside

There is a product called Microbe Lift BMC. It's the same BTI base as used in Gnatrol or Mosquito dunks but the ML BMC has the best bang for the buck.

They do cause root damage but not severe, the real issue is they can be a vector for disease like pythium. Also it sucks to have their dead carcasses stuck in your flower.

I use Gnatrol as a preventative so I never have gnats.

Anyone ever try mothballs on gnats ? My first experience with them just yesterday and was suggested to use mothballs and let the pots dry out more

Do they have warp speed or invisibility cloaks? They fly towards you and you're just about to clap hallelujeah on their asses and they disappear and reappear somewhere else///
