erk, all you can do is hope. she may have been set back a couple of days if she was without water, but remember these are hardcore plants that really can handle almost anything you throw at em. There is a school of thought- i dont follow it- that say you should hurt your plant about a week before the chop to make it shit more crystals but i disagree with that. Im sure it does make it more crystally but it dont seem right to do- its like raising a pony and braiding its maine and taking good care of it but then taking it out riding for the first time with spurs and a whip. (thank you terry pratchett!)
basically what im tring to say is dont worry man, at this stage a shock to the plant is not such a bad thing, people do it on purpose so...

Well she still had water, its just that the roots were sitting in water that probably didn't contain too much oxygen. I can't do anything either way, so I'm not too worried about it, was just a little upset at the time. I've seen people talk about stressing it right before the chop, but I didn't plan on doing that to her. I may let her have only fresh water for the last day or two of flowering, but thats as close as I wanted to get to stressing her. Or perhaps the 2 days of complete darkness before harvest...I still haven't decided. Thanks for the concern though, I'm sure shes resilient enough to take it and keep on chugging though. :P

yeah i do a 3 day flush and up to 36hours dark, just to help the plant start breaking down chlorophyll before the chop. looking forward to seeing what comes off her :D

That sounds like a good plan, I was going to do a 2 day flush and 48 hours of dark, but I think I'll try your method. When I went by tonight I used a magnifying glass to look at the trichs up close. I need to use something with a little more magnification power, as my eyes aren't the best, but from what I could tell a good deal of them were cloudy white, and some were clear. I couldn't really determine a ratio of clear/cloudy, and didn't notice any amber ones really. From what I've read I want mostly all cloudy trichs, as I don't care for the narcotic effect of CBN unless I need to sleep. Starting to notice more pistils going orange as well. I'd imagine that means time to chop is very close...I'll have to pick up a better magnifying lens tomorrow afternoon to be for sure. Sunday will be day 56, and sounds like a good day to chop. Lets hope she's there by then.

hey bud hows it going? Any chance of some more pictures :P Sounds like you havent got long to go fella bet your well excited! I keep checking mine about 3 times a day lol! Some of the lower pistils have started to go orange but cant seem to notice any change of the trichs, I am using a 30x magnifier glass so I am hoping when they start to change I will notice :S

All is well as far as I can tell. I'll take some more pictures when I go by tonight, unless I wait til in the morning. Where'd you pick the 30x up at? I need something that strong as well, otherwise I'm just guessing more or less.

if you want mostly thc not cbd then you want about 70% cloudy to 30% clear, redbeard should be mostly red tho. you dont want amber at all if you want lower cbd. I go for higher cbd myself as too high thc makes me crazy! most people i know prefer a higher thc content. so have you gone into dark yet or are you going to wait? i went into dark a bit early on my critical+ because i was worried about it, its a tricky time deciding when to put it into darkness because theres no turning back once you flip that switch for the last time! really looking forward to seeing your results man, its been a great grow to follow :D

Okay so I went and got a 60x-100x microscope and clipped a few random sugar leaves off the plant to examine, as using the scope on the actual plant was nearly impossible as the slighest movement causes it to go out of focus. After looking at the clippings I'd have to say that the trichs are about 60%-70% cloudy, perhaps a little more, with scattered clear trichs. I only managed to find a few amber colored trichs, so I went by tonight and filled the res with regular water and switched the light off. I'm hoping that I made the right decision in timing. The majority of the pistils are still pretty white, with the rest being orange.
I clipped one of the colas that never really grew much past the screen the two nights ago and gave it to a friend after quick drying it, and kept a small piece for myself. He said he got stoned, and I smoked a small bowl this morning and felt pretty stoned myself, but I wasn't sure if the fact that I grew it was sort of tricking myself into thinking that. The fact that it was pretty under-developed and got him stoned made me feel a bit better about the decision to start the flushing process.
Anyone have a good method for curing?
And here are the last pics before I chop her I guess.

Supposed to be an 8 week strain, but most of what I've read has mentioned how it's a really fast finisher. Last night was day 56 of flower. Going to go by tonight and take a peak and how shes doing....fingers crossed!

About how long do you hang it to air dry before jarring? Like how dry do you let it get before jarring? And how much do you fill up each jar?

Well she's clipped, trimmed, and hung. Took about 6 hours to clip/trim/hang all the buds. What a sticking fucking mess trimming was. I left about 50% of the small tops that were buried under the canopy that didn't develop as much to see if they'll mature a little more without everything blocking it. Trimmed and wet the buds weighed out to 553 grams. I must say I'm surprised by some of the bud sizes, couldn't really get a good feel for size when they were jammed in the scrog. I kept all the trimmings and put them in airtight containers then froze, as I don't have a bubble hash kit just yet and read that you could save them for extended periods of time by freezing. Here are a few pics of the buds hanging, will get some up-close shots tomorrow after its dried a little more.

Took a few closeups of some random pop-corn nugs that I didn't feel like tying up to dry. I must say to be from the shaded area towards the screen they are pretty frosty. Not the best trim job ever, but I can live with it as long as the leaves are trich covered.

Thanks BudLuvin, I am definitely more than pleased with my results, and can't believe how simple it all was. I'll let you know how the curing goes, it feels like another day or two and then into the jars it'll go, or at least the smaller buds. Thanks for coming along for the ride man!
