Ganja Queen's Stealth Micro Grow

I used to post on a different name on this site, some of you might recognize who I am, but please keep it secret and just send me a PM :D.

First, I want to say that what you see here is definitely not the finished product. I'm impatient by nature so I will be acquiring most of what I need as I go, could not bare to wait another day without having a bean in soil lol.

Right now my setup is pretty ghetto and even laughable, but realize that I do know this and it will not stay this way. I actually just moved to another state and had to leave almost all my original grow equipment. Luckily, I got a job earlier this month and am expecting my first paycheck this Friday so will be upgrading essentials like an adequate enclosure, ventilation, light setup, etc.

When you're done laughing...continue reading :p.

So far I have one plant that just popped through the soil today, Delicious Seed's Critical Jack Herer (fem) planted in Fox Farm's Ocean Forest. It only took two days to germinate using the paper towel method, and believe it or not, she was showing her head through the soil just hours after I put her in. Crazy! I was expecting to have more time (a couple days) to get my grow area situated before she actually showed so that's another reason why I'm ill prepared. I know some people say that Ocean Forest burns plants but I have seen lots of grows where the seeds started just fine in it and don't expect to have any issues.

She's only under one 20w 2700k CFL. Will definitely be picking up some 6500ks on pay day and have an equal amount of 2700ks mixed in the actual cab I plan to grow her in. Nutes will be a secret mix that I will maybe share at a later date ;).

The cab itself is going to made from an old end table that was going to be thrown in the garbage.

Painted the inside flat white and painted the outside with primer.

And this is the near finished product....

I scrapped the drawers and decided I am going to go to Lowe's, get two pieces of wood cut, buy hinges for them, and set it up so that they open out for better access and use of space. Figure that I will have to use sealant on the bottom of the cab as there are some spaces since the bottom is made from cardboard. Will also staple some chicken wire to the bottom of the cab to reinforce the cardboard and then cover it with plastic so it doesn't end up wet / moldy. Will also drill holes into the bottom for a passive intake, and install a PC fan in the back right corner. Think I will just go with one large fan rather than two smaller fans, and eventually set up a carbon filter.

Not exactly sure how I will have the lights setup...thinking I will install fixtures onto a piece of wood and install chains going from it to the ceiling for easy lowering and raising. All training will probably be LST though I am thinking of doing a scrog on one just to see how it goes.

Well that's all for now. Will be updating often so feel free to sub or check back with me often :).

Small for my taste as well...my last one was a 4ft x 4ft x 6.5ft tent, but I have to be much more discrete with this grow unfortunately. Who knows though, maybe I'll use it as a mother / clone box and start a perpetual micro grow in something bigger :p.

Thanks for wishing me luck!

Here for the ride, I wanna see how this turns out.
Cheers
Thanks for subbing <3

So just a little update for today....did get paid but some unexpected circumstances came up so I wasn't able to get everything I wanted. I did get wood for 'doors' for the front of cab and hand sawed them down + finished painting them just a little over an hour ago. I have to go to work tonight, but plan on installing the hinges and a key lock tomorrow. Will eventually get sealant because I'm sure that I'll have light leaks and want it to be as stealth as possible. Also need to still get a fan for the ventilation so it looks like the seedling is going to be stuck in the projects for a little while longer lol. I do have her under two 23w 6500k CFLS now though, so there's that.

Anyway, she is doing well and has no signs of nute burn. I think people are under the impression that Ocean Forest burns plants because they try to fertilize too early. The soil is full of nutrients so I don't plan on having to fertilize for another few weeks at least. Anyway, here she is, looking pert and happy:

Thinking I will be doing two plants total in the cab so thinking of popping a strain that I crossed myself, mother was Cinderella 99 and father was THC seed's Rambo....will call it Ramrella :p. Only thing is that I can't be sure if it's male or female since they are reg seeds, so still have not decided but will before next week is up. Cinderella 99 was the most amazing bud I have ever smelled...was extremely fruity and did not smell like regular MJ at all. The taste was just as wonderful and I'm hoping that I could find that phenotype in the seeds I have.

Sweet dude. Gotta do what you gotta do to grow. I love the little jewelry dresser thing. Odd coincidence that I've actually been seeing those frequently recently...lol sub'd.

Another small update for today...progress on cab is going a lot slower than expected. Am still waiting to get a PC fan and properly attach door to the front of the cab. Is a little frustrating because I expected things to be ready by now, but I don't have any choice other than to be patient.

The seedling is healthy though and she's growing more and more every day:

Will add more soil to her container sometime tonight.

You're assuming we are younguns :D

I remember that song been a long min since I heard it. Was big on down south rap in the late 80s and thru the 90s (m town and texas), but I fukks with the west coast every now and then :eyesmoke:

Crazy that it's 24 years old now, where the hell does the time go?

Will be able to make final adjustments on cab two days from now...can't wait to put my girl in better settings!

She is doing very well right now though, there is no stunting or deficiencies / nute burn. She is visibly getting bigger every day like a nice and healthy seedling should.

Since this grow will be 100% organic I picked up some unsulphured molasses to begin feeding the microherd in the soil and release more valuable nutrients to the plant. Prefer blackstrap unsulphured molasses but there isn't any sold in the stores close to me, so as long as it's free of sulphur / additives, I'll take what I can get.

Was going to fill soil line a couple days ago but decided to wait until watering. The soil is feeling a little bit dry today so will probably water her tonight and give her the first dose of molasses...want to have to teeming with beneficial bacteria :)

And for anyone who is curious as to a more in-depth explanation of why it is necessary to use molasses during an organic grow:

And how to use it:

Things are about to start taking off huh?
Wishing for no problems for you.
Send good vibes.

Indeed they are :). I'm always excited like the first time when I have a seedling pop through the soil or a clone take root lol.

Thanks for the good vibes, they are much appreciated <3<3<3
