Get a license, or just grow 4 legal?

Ive been thinking of applying for a license to grow medical marijuana for myself, or just grow the 4 legal plants starting next year.

In January 2015 I had my prostate removed because of cancer, and I believe I have the onset of arthritis in my hands.

Any info you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated!!

It depends, do you want to grow indoor or outdoor?

If you do't mind being registered, is your doctor supportive of signing off on a script? 1g = 5 plants indoor or 2 plants outdoor so depending on your needs 2-3g/day script should do it. It's a matter of finding a doctor who will sign off. Mine is fully supportive and would sign off for me and my GF, we just won't register into any government database.

How many grams a day would I be able to get? What factors determine that?

My doctor says there isn’t enough evidence to support it. As well he said there’s side effects like getting tired and the munchies. Duh!! Would have to find another doctor.

How would being registered affect anything?

Yeah will have others chime in on the factors affecting your script size but just having have had cancer and your arthritis you should be eligible for 3-5g/day. What I've seen and heard is that most doctors won't sign off on more than 5g/day which would equal 10 outdoor or 25 indoor plants.

The being registered thing is my life experience and resulting distrust of anything government and security of data (there is no such thing). Being in a government database is not my thing, they have my social insurance, passport and license, that's as much as they'll ever know about me.

Being able to grow 10 legally would be awesome. But is the process of being in a data base worth it for the medical aspect.

That being said are we gonna have to register for the 4 legal ones?

I to am very untrustworthy of all governments. The less they know the better.

It would be, but as you've already seen you can get as much as you need from 4 large outdoor plants. The question about registering for this ACMPR is something everyone has to answer for themselves.

The question about registering for 4x legal plants is a good question which hasn't really been answered yet and is more likely going to be either a provincial or municipal question depending on where you live. Like Ontario I'd expect that you'll have to register somewhere, they treat us like we're 3 year olds in this province and I don't see them just allowing a free-for-all. I hope I'm wrong, but if I were betting I'd bet some form of registration will take place.

That said, I wouldn't register for 4x outdoor plants. Let everyone else register, blend in as if you are registered, not like your neighbour is going to check your papers and the chances of an inspector coming around is pretty unlikely, only a fine at worst (for not being registered) if it's legal.

I'm convinced the 4 plant limit will be amended to allow 4 for each adult, although that might be down the road. I wouldn't bother with the frustration and headache of getting registered for medical. You can find a relative or friend who doesn't grow to give you space in their yard for two plants. I doubt there will be a workable registration system for rec., more likely just enforcement if there are complaints or a 'trafficking' investigation. imo

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought they were not allowing outdoor plants under the 4 plant rec grows. Remains to be seen I guess.

I went legal just so I wouldn't have to put up with a hassle should my home be checked out for other legit reasons. And at this point I believe I have more rights under the amcpr then I would as a rec user. Governments change and freedoms come and go with them. The long gun registration deal a prime example. In other words there is nothing stopping a new government from trashing the cannabis rec user deal to grab votes. But who knows. As for flying under the radar. Unless you are off grid somewhere in bumb fuck Idaho recieving absolutely nothing from the government they already know more about you then some realize. That legal paper may or may not help in a legal jam. To each his own I figure.
