Dense buds are whack and hard to smoke. obviously you know nothing and are a follower in a small groups at this stage of your smoking careers. My best friend sells 25 lbs a week on the easy side. All to co-ops and yeah no one wants super dense buds brah!
i used to when i 1st started puffing too dont feel bad it's just you can get bigger hits and the crystals have more production room on not so dense buds. Nice big pillow type buds that literally you can squeeze down to the stem with no hard ass rock feeling, and they are just covered in thc and so sticky. OBVIOUSLY you dont have much to go off of. I see about 70 new strains a week....
How do you smoke hard buds without peeling it all up 1st, thats my question? I like a nice fat snooth bong hit. When buds dense all you get is lighter and harsh butane taste half the time. I'm sorry man but everyone i know laughs HARD at super dense buds. But yes at one point we thought they were cool, like 18 yrs ago.
Seriously hit me up and i'll show you what i mean in person, just roll over to the pad i'll show you the sickest nugs in south o.c.... Nugs that you didnt know were available and you will see nothing dense. I promise Just balls of soft buds that reek and have crystals spewing out everywhere.
I'm a edible vendor down here so i have plenty growers and connects.

i have been seeing the denser stuff in oc coming from norcal.... seems to be the purple varieties mostly (at least what I am running into)
sometimes its outdoor or greenhouse given the tightest haircut ever to make it look as close to indoor as possible...

what you are talking about chefjdogg - soft buds - thats the poop. Not fluffy larfy airy... its got density in the bag but when tear a bit of and you squeeze it between your fingers to ball it up for a bong toke its so smootha and feels so good to squeeze...

this guy acts like he is the only med card holder or something. well buckaroo, i hate to break it to you...you are not. besides that...get some rep before you spout off like this. the clubs up here like dense well cured bud (i should know as a vendor). there is one major difference between us...the clubs in my area don't charge 65-75 dollars an eighth, fuckin LA clubs. i dont give a shit what kind of buds you got in the "oc"(since they came from up here in northern cali). go fuck a model and act like we care. here is my point... take 2 plants of the same size, one dense and one fluffy...the dense one not only provides more smoke but is worth more because it weighs more. and it probably has a higher THC contect because it was grown properly. also...grinders were made just for this. what a tool.

ground up bud is garbage to smoke IMO unless you are rolling a J or vaporizing.
for me, in a bong, when you grind it up you make the hit rougher and less enjoyable. just my experience.

Don't get into the whole righteous pricing bullshit guys... that fucking stupid. Why don't you start ripping on the fuckos in the EAST charging $7k per pound?

have a nice day.

Im gonna have to agree with greyskull, Its all about the dense buds. Id like to see this proof of fluffy buds having more THC because of more surface area. If anything it would have less or the same cuz its more spread out. Its like pouring water into a tall glass and saying theres more water now...

also from cali, and I don't know anyone who prefers some fluffy buds that more than likely didn't get enough light or were just from lower on the plant....the clubs where I am don't buy fluffy weed. no one I know wants to pay for more stem than weed...you get a better hit off fluffy weed? fire needs oxygen, so of course if you have a fluffy bud it will light quicker, stay lit while your not hitting it longer, and basically smoke faster....Break up a dense bud=as light and fluffy as you wanna pack it...
and once again I have to point out who would want to buy an 1/8,1/4, or an ounce when so much of that weight will be stem?...n/m I guess we should all just smoke what we like...

Props on those buds, I would by them anytime...

looks like the consensus is in favor of the dense buds.so shut your mouth chefdog, tossing insults to try to get your point across is childish.

I think it is all personal preference. Some people like their steak super well done, some like extremely rare. Some people like dense buds some people like fluffy buds. There are advantages with both. With fluffy buds there is a little less chance of mold. The customer thinks their getting more because it isn't as heavy thus looks like more in a package. There is also a lot less demand for light which means less electricity usage. The advantages with dense buds are that the plant often time weighs more so you get a better yield. The patient often times judges a bud by the feel (density), smell, look, high and taste. Also there is usually less sticks but not always. There is also a little less trimming to do. I personally like dense buds. :peace:
