Ginormous by Humboldt Nutrients

I picked upp a 1 pint container of this stuff today. I plan on using it as a bloom booster in GH Flora series Nutes. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this stuff. It seems like a lot of people have talked about using around the forum, but I haven't heard of anyone using it. It seems pretty potent at 0-18-16 so I am going to be adding it starting at 2mL a gal at first. You guys think I should reduce the GH nutes when I start using this stuff? All input is greatly appreciated. :blsmoke:

Well, I kept my 8/16 Lucas Blend, 5mL CalMag Plus, and introduced 5mL of the Ginormous per gallon. I was going to start at 2mL, but the bottle says 5-15 mL. Blue Dream can usually take some hot stuff so lets see what happens. I'll keep you informed.

same here.. im currently using botanicare pure blend pro & earth juice but lately i have been looking into adding more of a bloom booster type nute.. with humbolts ginormous & even botanicares hydroplex (npk ratio of 0.5-10-6) i cant decide.. i am gonna try the hydroplex first because it has more than just a higher pk. also they have so many powders like monster bloom, general hydroponics has more bloom, & fox farms beastie bloom. who really knows whats best? i wish i could just do a comparison all myself.. sorry to rant but to answer your question

if you havent noticed any nute burn you should be ok with 2ml & bumping it up to 5ml. thats what i would do.

The humboldt nuts feeding chart is a very conservative one. Using their whole line at full strength I've only had one strain out of ~20 suffer any burning.

Walk in five minutes later and th idiot at the hydro store has likely forgotten who you are and will tell you the same thing about any other overpriced product they sell. Half strength meaning they have no idea what it'll do so go easy..

lol. I fucking hate people who work at hydro stores because of this exactly. For some reason it's never ok for someone working at a hydro store to use the phrase "I don't really know". They have to sound like they know what they are talking about at all times.

When ever a guy at a hydro store tries to give me advice I always ask my self this "If this guy really knows so much about growing hydro, why did he take a job paying $10 an hour working a cash register? Shouldn't he be in his grow house right now?".

Hey there. I'm using Ginormous in conjunction with Dutch Master flowering nutes and Humboldt Honey Hydro Carbs. I'm at almost 5 weeks of flowering and the plants are doing fine. I started using 5ml per gallon and gradually stepped it up until I am now using 15ml per gallon. Here's a shot of my Bubblelicious:

GoIng to give this stuff a shot next week when I flip to 12/12. I spoke with the humbolt people the other day and the new feeding rate they suggest is 3ml/ gallon.

Hey im pretty much a noob at growing pot but ive been researching for months. When did you start the honey carb nutes, in the veg, or the beginning of the flowering? And what is your opinion on cropping and are these cropped?

Maybe the people own the hydro stores too but I'm in a non medical state. hydro shops are few and far between so there's some very talented gardeners in this area that work at the stores. if you're a real farmer that knows what he's doing there's no need to talk or ask them about nutrients you shouldn't already know. Use a tds ec meter to find out how strong a nutrient is put the recommended dose in a gallon of water and check the reading pretty damn simple. O and btw if you're nutrient mix comes out above 800-850ppms you are poisoning the plants. Do some educated research and a side by side if you feed heavier than that and you'll see what I'm talking about. Less is deffinently more with nutrients if you feed stronger than that you're killing the yield and quality of the flowers plain and simple
