image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Hello all,
I would Like to show my Aeropomics grow.
Going on my second week. I am very happy with the growth considering but I have to work with, a sump pump couple barrels lots of luck. LOL
I got off to a rough start at first but I think I may be getting the hang of it. But time is running one minute on and it was 15 minutes off but I'm adjusting it back to one on and five off , The barrel work really well keeping humidity in.The first barrel on the left with this bigger containers I was dripping tonight I decided to go with sprinkles underneath so far so good they seem to perk up just a little.

Second Barell on the right uses small sprinkler emitters the green ones that spin real fast, they are in cocoa where As the barrel on the left is mostly of the lava the round ones..

The ones on the very left the big ones, In dirt are a week older. I saw where they had cloth fabric pots and so what I did was I went to Walmart and I bought a shoe holder that hangs in the closet trying it out see how it works, they seem really happy.
Well just small introduction glad to be a part of the community. And giving a little more time Ill have more specs Later on.
I'm not going to try to post some pics so I hope this works.

thanks Papa, yes I have it working very well it's been just about for five weeks and I've change a few things I got rid of the little green emitters, and the side the full blown go with sprinklers for your yard. Haven't had any problem with those really whatsoever and they soak it in there so well, pick them up at Lowe's on sale close out for a buck apiece.
Now I didn't realize until after I pretty much bought everything that I need to keep the temperature down the one plant in a DWC died before these tohigh temps.. But never fear I can get your water chiller or you can get you one for hundred bucks. I'm cheap too. LOL

Now in the words of Forrest Gump I'm not a smart man but I know how to tear some shit apart. LOL sorry ladies for the cursing .

I got the temperature figured out I think I've just about got everything figured out i only did one Grow befor this and it was dirt. Well queso not queso soil.

I will attempt to put everything in order as I did it pictures included some pictures will be missing but I'm not real good At always taking pictures ..
I chose the barrel's for a couple reasons number one they were free, and Theyonly had PG or VG in them. Easy cleanup... And I know by the time this little tutorials none for what I can give to the community that you guys will see That this is probably a pretty decent way to go. And will perform as well as anything, but of course Im knew so I could be wrong.

I will start the work up thread after I posted this one. So I can have some semblance of having it all together.. Back in a flash

So here's the date when I started seedsimage.png

Here's three pictures that are later dates but I uploaded them so I'm gonna go and throw them in at this pointimage.jpegimage.jpgimage.jpg h

And since I'm kind a new to the bulletin board in the forums and using an iPad I'm going to repost These Barrel picks.. There is the one that's in the middle or to the left of the big one

So we made it to this post, one word about the barrels if you're going to cut them make sure those suckers are smooth And you have a big enough hole because they will eat your arms up.

So Here we have a few pictures of myattempt and eventual use of shoe holders that hang in the closet from Walmart. rather than go out and buy you know the ones you have to buy at the hydroponic store the cloth pots I figure these would work as well. they're connected which could be good or bad they do have their negative. I suppose they seem to rot relatively quick but they can work if that's what you have access to.

Here we have some pictures of the roots. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

The purple in the picture is an anomaly so just ignore it. I believe these are the most up-to-date pictures that I have also which would be today.
Here's a pic of a plant that along with all of them in the barrel, at some point over the last week they ended up going 3 to 5 hours without any water. Did They get pissy started drying up the roots and they turned a little brown but they're making a nice recovery and I think I troubleshoot it back to the timer. Speaking of timer initially was two minutes on 15 minutes off since then I use one minute on 3 to 4 minutes off . I'm thinking that they like the two minutes on 10 to 12 minutes off better but since I'm doing some recording I'll be able to compare the happiness factor .image.jpgan un happy plant from the day the water dried up.. The barrel serves another purpose and that it does hold a little bit a water in it and except bit more forgiving him in 3 to 5 hours and I didn't really have a whole Lotta route death there's so much humidity in the barrel at room temperature that it saved my crop.

OK onto the next one

OK so here we are going to get into the cooling water to the fridge a party small one broke it had replace it went and got one of those cabinet ice makers ..don't get one unless you know if you do electrical you may have a chance..

So the fridge was like 89 bucks maybe 120 the piece inside that's the freezer is the part that I put into the water.. the aluminum tubing that was wrapped around the fridge, actually not on top and bottom but on the sides was really buried in insulation . had a really tear into it, also instead of using the thermostat I put the aluminum tubing in the 5 gallon bucket and by adjusting the height of the water I can adjust the temperature of the water in my solution the thermostat just really doesn't work, although your mileage may vary but It didn't for me and so I found out by adjusting the water level in the 5 gallon bucket which is very very hot by the way and also adds humidity to the room but again easy to adjust...

Well I think maybe getting close to where we are now I'd like to thank you for your patience in and crawling through this with me.. And I still have a little bit of time to go before harvest and but I'm gonna. post some pics probably about a week apart in this reply just can let you know how everything is going in here and everything is doing ..thank you and if anybody has any comments or needs more answer or any good criticism I'm more than willing to listen.. I think it's a very good system I think it works great I think it's very forgiving and I think for the beginner,, a sprinkler system is the way to go again this is my first hydroponics grow ..

Below I have a few of the miscellaneous pictures.. the white filter I use on the outside of the barrel comes from a blanket it works great as a filter to the filter your res also. It also works To allow air to flow but to not let the water get out of the barrel Then give it enough time the roots start to grow I believe that it a basically maintains itselfat a certain point..I believe total time to be around four or five weeks at the most

I went a bit noid 2 weeks short and harvested. It did really well.althought my propensity to over fertilize them was strong..lol
Sprinklers worked great. Roots made it all the way down to the return "river" in the bottom.I grew them in 3 in pots max.Got a decent amount. But yes in theory, and practice, Yard sprinklers work great.
I had them running at 15 minute intervals for about one minute.Max time was 3.If I had kept the resevoir clean and less particulate matter, 2 sprinklers would of worked great,I used 4.
If I find some pics of the last week or so, I shall post them up.

I am working with another theory of mine, and I must say, it is doing very well. Pics to come soon.Yes it uses barrels. :):)

The above plants did not get optimum care, it was an experiment which worked really well otherwise,. I ran 1x2 on either side of the barrells, glued them in place with liquid nails and one screw through each end and cut the , well, ok hacked, the styro board to fit.

My next post will allude to what I am attempting to start up as a possibly new type of hydro growing.. I will post pics for your perusal.
