Yet another example of how corporations bully 3rd world countries.

When a utility corp, backed by the World bank and tbe IMF, tried to privatiseALL water in Bolivia they included morning dew. Bolivians were not allowed to even catch the morning dew, punishable by jail. Bolivians revolted. Innocent people died in the streets. Shot to death. The people won though...

Cigarette corps have been bully 3rd world countries too, backed by the same banks. These countries arent allowed to pass anti smoking regs without being held hostage by the banks they borrow from.

Now weed? Really? When does corporate extortion stop?

When the People rise up and hold them accountable.

It needs to happen here in the States, too.

We are well overdue.

I have often said...
If i was ever to strap on a bomb belt i would walk into a bank, insurance company or a power corp....

And with each passing year in which i know retirement is more and more impossible for me i get one step closer to doing that.

Blow up a meeting of billionaires. When THEY suffer, they'll finally pay attention.

The problem is that if you do that, they'll use it as justification for even more control over the average populace. We're already a fascist police state. That would only make things worse.

I firmly believe in the power of our democracy.

The doubts carefully sown about it work to the advantage of those in power. The more people who don't believe getting organized and involved in politics and working to effect change within the system, the more influence those who already are involved will retain.

Exactly.
But the more things turn sour for people the more people get disillusioned...turning them off the system of government and tuning out.

For people to get to tuned in and become a part of it they need to see examples of effective change by citizenry to motivate them. When people believe that they can have an effect...

But people are being excluded more and more by gov and corps.... that will bring desperation...the kind that burns cars and buildings and so on...

I agree, and in that direction lies chaos. There are those who are actively inviting such discord, mistakenly thinking that they will profit from it. They will not. NO ONE WILL.

That's why people have to get involved now and begin the work of unwinding the mess we've made of our country and economy.

I agree....although i fear things have passed the point of no return.

I see corps squeezing the workers for more and more to make quartely numbers.... and i see unions starting to rise up because of it... all over the world.

Violence just like before.

Fuck...my corp is trying to institute a potty pass system to increase productivity. Or to stop losing it... that has already had more than one bosses car vandalised...

Amazing.

I got better productivity when I treated those I was responsible for with dignity and respect.

Maybe it doesn't work for everyone, but such heavy handed methods never work for long.
