Yes iT Does but I was asking more in the matter of price vs quality..Coz AN is bashed only on a price tag...
As I've mentioned I don't use many bottles to grow lots of pot and I want ease of use with predicable results and I've got that for the last 16 years using AN nutes. Now with the pH Perfect feature plus the other additives that come with even the basic 3-part base nutes it works better and easier than it did before the improvements.

Mixing up how many ingredients for soil grows and making a witches brew to feed the plants when that runs out sounds like a lot more hassle to me than measuring out a few dollops out of a few bottles every week or so and leaving the plants to grow.

AN has come out with some certified organic nutes that are looking even easier to use. Iguana Juice Grow and Bloom, Big Bud, Bud Candy and Ancient Earth, . Dying to try them out for an easy way to grow some organic pot. I've grown organic side by side with ones I fed AN stuff and the only difference I found was I had a lot more of the bottle fed pot than the other. Lot more crystal on it too.

At least AN has always proudly proclaimed that they engineer their nutes to grow pot with and don't go hide in the veggie gardens and flower beds like the other a-holes always have. AN will never sell out to a company like Scott's/Monsanto either and I'll be damned if those pricks will ever see a dime of mine.

Don't forget General Hydrponics nutrients was bought by Monsanto

outdoors w/ soil you are 100% right but these are for indoor hydroponics & some don't want that nasty smell a lot of organics has, they want the PH balance & like dude said it's so much easier to mix w/ water but like you said it's over rated I grew plants w/ soil from my yard & rain water & a t5 & it grew just fine.

That last grow was nothing to crow about for sure and if I only wanted to show my best I wouldn't have posted that experiment until I had grown it out and got excellent results. Then I could have pretended that I never grew them at all but that wouldn't have been very honest of me now would it?

Still got buckets of pot so it wasn't a failure but certainly not my best effort. The 5 largest plants were OG#18 and clones from a buddy that I'd never grown before but kept a cutting to get more cuttings from so will see how it does in DWC. All 5 had 'nanners on them from about week 3 of 12/12 but I only found 3 seeds so the 'nanners weren't very potent or there would have been lots of seeds.

I went with a 50:50 mix of ProMix HP and ProMix potting soil instead of straight HP and got disappointed. Exactly the reason I'm going back to DWC for all my bud growing. The ProMix will get used for mothers and breeder plants. The grow before that last one was straight HP in a ScroG and looked a lot better but it was also with a strain that I made and grown many times in the past. It didn't do as well as it has in DWC either. As I've said many times, I'm no dirt farmer.

One of my favorite strains that does very well in DWC and finishes fast. L.S.D. X Blueberry. Both originally from Barney's Farms and crossed by a buddy in Texas who sent me a dozen seeds 7 years ago.

I am so looking forward to getting a few DWC tubs going this fall so I have a very Merry Xmas and a Higher New Year! :)

of course AN only has organic additives guess the PH balance can't be done organically
I would imagine that the pH Perfect stuff won't pass California's strict organic rules so it will be interesting to see how they work pH-wise and perform compared to their pH Perfect counterparts.

I'll have to dust off my pH pen and put it back to work. It's been sitting in storage sol'n for almost a year since I used it last but worked OK once it was re-hydrated after sitting dry for almost two years. It's got to be 5 years old by now but I take good care of it so hopefully won't need a new one.

I mentioned that at the end. Technically they along with Botanicare and Gavita were bought out by Scott's working hand in glove with Mon$atan . Coming soon to a WalMart near you! Once pot gets taken off Schedule 1 in the states and they don't have to pretend they make nutes just for veggies and flowers.

When you start Googling the history of those companies all sorts of interesting facts come to light. You can bet that Mon$atan will be coming out with GMO cannabis not long after pot goes full legal at the federal level. They'll try to do the same with cannabis as they've been doing with food crops the last 20 years or so. World domination of food first and pot next. Evil mofos if ever there was.

we call it the Lazy & Impatient Generation...no one wants to do anymore than they absolutely have to & a good compost takes time where as time is money so it's easier & less work to just buy nutes

I guess you're running feminized seeds

You guessed wrong. I've never used fem seeds but plan to make some of my own one of these days with colloidal silver I make myself. Almost out of CS so should whip up another batch or two. Wife feeds it to her chickens and we went through a gallon of it in less than two years.

then your friend must have gotten lucky enough to get some Barnry's Farm before they stopped selling regular seeds, I've been searching everywhere to try & get some but no luck anywhere

Really? It is getting hard to find the strains you want in regular seeds and it's an attempt by breeders to protect their work. Can always grow one out and force male flowers on it to make some pollen then make your own fem seeds. Or just get cuttings so you can keep growing clones from the best girls that grow from seed.

@Oldgrowerdude got his from Attitude seed bank back in '09 and sent me the cross in '10. I grow out a few every year or so and make some fresh seeds so I don't lose the strain. I've sent seeds to a few others and they all really like it too. Definitely want to breed that one to my OTTO#1 CBD girl and probably the other ones that are high in CBD as well.

the thing like you said they don't want people using their strain not to protect their work but to make more money that's why they sell feminized , they're usually around double the price of regular seeds, yes a lot like to know it's female before planting & not have to wait to find out but then you have to continue to buy more seeds unlike regular

that's why since the legalization boom more of the older guys are pulling back on regular seeds but one thing that also kept me from buying regular was you had to buy at least a 10 pack where a lot sell feminized single seeds., that was a serious score, I had one guy trying to get me a pack of any regular Barney seeds but like I thought I never heard back from him lol

if AN could pull off a base nutrient that's PH balanced & passes as organic then I'd be all over it. I sure as hell don't wanna be making compose tea, I don't have time cause i'm hoping to move by the end of the year
