Going light shopping - right now am using bs lights that ive gotten from around the house. What should i get tomorrow? I was thinking 400w HPS too use for both veg and flower of my next grow.

All i need too get is the ballast and the light and a lighting fixture...correct? :leaf:

yeah you do ,the bulb needs to match the ballest either hps or metal halide

do they sell a 300 at lowes?i only have home d and they stop at around 150

htg ,com will be a lot better light with a good reflector, the ones at the lowes will have a reflector that makes a flashlight pattern ,not spread out

If they do stop at only 150w can i run more than one of the same ballast? and will 3-4 be enough for 3-5 plants?

dont you live near a grow store,i need to travel 400 miles round trip to mine but they have the right shit and all the selection of proven stuff that works,so i do it,you make it up in a grow or two any way so its not that big of a deal.

you gotta make the call?

I know ur tryin to avoid it(i did too...), but i think online may be ur best option. I didn't have to make a 400 mile journey to my hydro store like buggs(and by the way, DAMN!) but once I got there i found out the prices were way way out of my league. Online, u can find just about anything.

Search sunsystem complete 150 watt hps in ur browser bro. They cant sell them any more than MSRP pricing. U can get one at ur door for about 80 - 90 bux depending on where u live.

Far as the fixtures.........

The fixtures sold at depot........ They are also complete kits. All u have to do is wire a 16 guage plug with some wire nuts to it. No added ballasts the ballast are included in each fixture....... complete.

Dont listen to people that really have no idea what they are talking about.

Lumens output is vurtually the same as wattage when dealing with hps. Roughly 86- 104 lumens= 1 hps watt. Ive done the research and with a fancy meter u could do the same.

Pound for pound the fixtures sold cheaply online or at these stores....Are equivalenty matched in lumen output.
To get more crazy or light robot scientific with it.

Lower wattage hps are easier to use in smaller stealth grows bro. Cuz when u break it all down and examine it thouroughly. U can get these bulbs closer cuz they dont burn so hot. And Achieve more actual lumenz/cubic foot than u could with a bigger lamp..

Just thought i should put that out there. And hope it helps.Ive done the math and tests for ya.

six ,one footers, then they double when you bud them to 2 ft,it will take a little longer to finish, than a 250,but it will work

if your going to get a 150 you should get the econolight

its not plug and play but its so damn easy its worth the money you save

also, dont avoid ordering online,.... home depot lowes etc is NOT going to have what you want...
