We have had it easy compared to most of the country, but still cold to us. The cold touched up my Peach plants Saturday night. Several of them were bent over. I propped them up. Didn't get to go back today, but the frost was much thicker this morning due to less wind.

I see on the news there is wide spread floods, snow and ice. Sunny and warm here all week. Yesterday afternoon it was 80F. Today it only got up to 76F. At 1940 it's clear, 60F with 84% humidity. Forecast low of 51F with 10% chance of rain tonight.

The heavy frost Sunday morning did a number on the young Peach plants. I learned I will need to cover young plants when there is a heavy frost forecast. The older seed testers did alright, just a little frost burn to the buds. {I chopped them a couple days ago. Pictures on Monday}

It started out partly cloudy this morning and got cloudier as the day went on. At 1655 it's raining, 70F with 89% humidity. Our high was 76F and the forecast low for tonight is 60F with 30% chance of rain. We have rain chances for the next 5 or 6 days, with the weekend looking the wettest.

I bought more rain gear today at the thrift store, so I'm hoping to test it Thursday when I take a hiking {and planting} day. I'm glad my transplants will get watered. Just hope they don't get washed out.

It was a beautiful warm sunny day here in Colorado, it had to have been in the mid 50s. Walked the dog in the park and just generally soaked up the rays!

Anyway! Just another gorgeous sunny day in the mid fifties here in the Banana Belt of Colorado...

I fucking wish I had a plane, I'd have gone for a ride.

Usually you chock the wheels of an aircraft so it doesn't roll away when the wind comes up.

I take it you had something similar for your fowl?
Lol . I starred at that for 5 mins last night going this don't look right.

Storm watch 2017 ......El Niño !

Why is there no hype about el nino this year . They pumped the shit out of it last year and it never happened. This year it is here for sure and it's only January . Wait til March and April.

Speaking of cooler, our hot, wet weather is gone. We got 7-8 inches of rain since Thursday, but the really bad weather was an hour or so north of here. Some trees down in Larry Land due to high winds, but no damage to buildings or tarp shelters {which I was in during the worst of the wind. Did not get a lot of sleep Saturday night}. It was cloudy, windy and cold today. At 1655 it's clear, 66F {down from a high of 67F} with 57% humidity. Forecast low of 43F with 10% chance of rain tonight.

Hope you west coast guys were not effected by the flooding. It's good to hear the snowpack is building. Maybe it will last until Spring.
