Yep, Al Gore, Mr. Inconvenient Truth himself, can't seem to get his own house in order.

Energy Guzzled by Al Gore’s Home in Past Year Could Power 232 U.S. Homes for a Month
Gore’s personal electricity consumption up 10%, despite “energy-efficient” home renovations

NASHVILLE - In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.

“A man’s commitment to his beliefs is best measured by what he does behind the closed doors of his own home,” said Drew Johnson, President of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. “Al Gore is a hypocrite and a fraud when it comes to his commitment to the environment, judging by his home energy consumption.”

In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.

In February 2007, An Inconvenient Truth, a film based on a climate change speech developed by Gore, won an Academy Award for best documentary feature. The next day, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research uncovered that Gore’s Nashville home guzzled 20 times more electricity than the average American household.

After the Tennessee Center for Policy Research exposed Gore’s massive home energy use, the former Vice President scurried to make his home more energy-efficient. Despite adding solar panels, installing a geothermal system, replacing existing light bulbs with more efficient models, and overhauling the home’s windows and ductwork, Gore now consumes more electricity than before the “green” overhaul.

Since taking steps to make his home more environmentally-friendly last June, Gore devours an average of 17,768 kWh per month –1,638 kWh more energy per month than before the renovations – at a cost of $16,533. By comparison, the average American household consumes 11,040 kWh in an entire year, according to the Energy Information Administration.

In the wake of becoming the most well-known global warming alarmist, Gore won an Oscar, a Grammy and the Nobel Peace Prize. In addition, Gore saw his personal wealth increase by an estimated $100 million thanks largely to speaking fees and investments related to global warming hysteria.

“Actions speak louder than words, and Gore’s actions prove that he views climate change not as a serious problem, but as a money-making opportunity,” Johnson said. “Gore is exploiting the public’s concern about the environment to line his pockets and enhance his profile.”

The Tennessee Center for Policy Research, a Nashville-based free market think tank and watchdog organization, obtained information about Gore’s home energy use through a public records request to the Nashville Electric Service.
Figures, doesn't it? I'd laugh if it weren't so sad. And this motherfucker got the Nobel fucking peace prize, making the Nobel laureate program worse than laughable now. Not only does he present misinformation in the film, but he can't even make good on the whole idea in his own home.

You Know that the Nobel assoc is now going after Al Gore, they want all this back since even the scientist who wrote all that tripe, said he got it wrong.

But this doesn't suprise me in the least, Gore is nothing but a blow hard.

His energy use has gone down actually but take into consideration his house is a mansion roughly 4 times the size of the new american home and it has business operating in it. Not sure if its just a bunch of PCs in there or what. If you compared his house to GWBs, you'd be surprised.

You know it's funny, you'd think that Owl Gore would live in a uber-technological, sustainable energy wonderland. If he cares so much, why does he not fund laboratories to further the cause of alternative energy?

It's more fun to try to shame the rest of us under the guise of a phony anti-capitalism holy war.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

OPEC sells oil for $136.00 a barrel.
OPEC nations buy U.S. grain at $7.00 a bushel.
Solution: Sell grain for $136.00 a bushel.
Can't buy it? Tough! Eat your oil!
Ought to go well with a nice thick grilled filet of camel ass!!!

That's a great idea! We should use the leverage we have. Unfortunately, the UN would shit two colors. They hate us enough already. The UN would punish us beyond our wildest dreams, until we defund them like we should have done years ago.

I honestly laugh at this whole Gore uses this much energy bullshit. Don't you get it? There is enough renewable energy to have everyone splitting atoms in their basement. Even what Gore uses is nothing compared to what could be used if we were taking full advantage of solar, wind, geothermal and biological energy. If you want more spit for your hate fire, how bout all the fucking plane trips he took to spread his message? Think of all the fuel he burned! Dipshits. Thats not the point. He is spreading the message that we can do all that and more and still heal this earth. That's why he won the fucking Nobel Peace Prize.

Just maybe a person like him hosts a lot of functions, dinners (extra kitchen power)...etc...can't do that stuff in the dark.....Everyones power use is up, just because of harsher winters...and stuff....oh I forgot the Bush doctrine.....what global warming...alls good....want to save power...shut off the lights in the White House..Bush is in the dark already....he wouldn't even notice if he fell down the stairs..

:blsmoke:Its only because Gore has a 3k grow running in his basement and he just had to install an A/C to keep temps under control:weed:
