Why not? Cdc lists brain damage as a small risk. Very small but still possible with certain vaccines.

Fever can cause brain range if it gets high enough. Most will never see a fever that high from a vaccine but it does happen. Its rare but happens.

I'm not stupid or illiterate. I know how vaccines work.

The cdc even list the risk. What's not to get about that?

You very immune reaction is what can cause the problem.

I'm not against vaccines. I've taken some I didn't want to because it was required. I've also taken an expiermental vaccine. For Lyme disease. I spend enough time in the woods I thought the benefit outweighed the risk.

brain damage via swelling due to fever, perhaps.

there is no mechanism in the vaccines that could do it on its own though.

What I said was fact. You are arguing semantics.

I said there is a small risk. That is truth even listed by the cdc.

It doesn't matter if the vaccine does it or the reaction to the vaccine. Its still the vaccine.

I even agreed that the risk is small and the benefit outweighs them.

Non of that is false. You're the one struggling with facts.

A tiny proportion of people will have a reaction to cotton. Is it the cotton "at fault" or is it a failure of the person's body to react normally to the presence of a harmless chemical?

I still remember seeing kids with polio in my youth. It wasn't pretty.

I still remember getting chicken pox, measiIs and mumps. Everybody did. I would chose vacs over getting sick, 10 times out of 10.

Sure, there's a tiny fraction of bad reactions from vacs. My dog got sick af after a rabies vac once. Had to give him benadryl I think after calling vet and it was horrible to watch for the rest of the night, but he came out of it fairly quickly.

It's about playing the percentages ffs.

Nothing works perfect, but I'm telling you, you see a kid's life ruined by polio and you'll be 1st in line for a chance to avoid that.

False equivalency. You wouldn't force someone to use cotton, latex or peanut butter if they had a reaction to it.

It doesn't matter if its the persons or the vaccines fault. The outcome is the same. There is a risk. It is small but it is real.

I agree. None of what I am saying is to lead someone to not get vaccines.

Just posting our families experience with vaccines.

I had a dog die from rabies vaccine. I still vaccinate all my dogs. Why? Even though there is a risk the benefit is greater.

Simple reasoning.

Oh yeah. We started with the Salk injection, a couple times maybe through 2nd-3rd grade. We could tell it was vacc. time cuz there'd be a Med van in the parking lot when we got to school. "Oh shit, we're fucked" Line up and a nurse was saying you'll love it, no shot. It was Sabin on the sugar cube. Kids were happy, med staff was happy and teachers were happy lol
